The maximum age limit to apply for the Agniveer Vayu (Science Group) exam is 21 years. This means candidates born before June 27, 2002 cannot apply for the exam successfully.
Educational Qualification
The educational qualification requirement set by the IAF are as follows:
Candidates must have passed Class 12 or have any equivalent degree recognised by COBSE listed Education Board with Mathematics, Physics, and English as their subjects. They must have scored a minimum of 50% in aggregate and 50% in English. OR
Candidates should have passed a three years Diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical / Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from a Government recognised Polytechnic Institute with a minimum of 50% aggregate score and 50% marks in English. If candidates did not have English in their diploma course, they should have scored 50% in Class 10 or 12 exams. OR
A two years Vocational course with non-vocational subjects viz. Physics and Mathematics from a COBSE-listed State Education Board/ Council with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. If candidates did not have English in their course, they should have scored 50% in Class 10 or 12 exams.
Agniveer Vayu (Science Group) Martial Status Criteria
Only unmarried male and female candidates can apply for the Agniveer Vayu (Science Group) exam. Important details related to Agniveer Vayu (Science Group) eligibility for marital status are as follows:
