The authorities release the AP EAMCET 2025 rank card along with the result. The rank card is now available on the official website, and candidates must download it by entering the registration number, hall ticket number, and date of birth.
The AP EAMCET rank card is a mandatory document to participate in the counselling process. The AP EAMCET 2025 (EAPCET) rank is only valid for admission to the academic year 2024-25. The rank is calculated based on the AP EAMCET 2025 score only, and the 25% weightage of class 12th marks is not considered.
Note: For Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders, the authority will decide the weightage of marks.
AP EAMCET Scorecard: Normalisation Process
The authorities conduct the normalisation procedure for the candidates who got difficult papers in the entrance test. The purpose is to rationalise in the best possible way and rank the aspirants based on their global performance. Find the below-given formula used for the normalisation procedure:
Normalised marks of the candidate = GMS + Top average global – GMS/ Top average session – SMS x Marks obtained by the candidate – SMS
Note:
SMS: (Average + standard deviation) of the session aspirant belongs to.
GMS: (Average + standard deviation) of all the aspirants across all sessions.
Top average global: Average marks of the top 0.1% of the candidates across all sessions.
Top average session: Average marks of the top 0.1% of the candidates in the session to which the aspirant belongs.
If the candidate’s score after the normalisation in any individual subject becomes negative, the normalised marks in the respective subject will be treated as zero. However, the three subjects’ combined marks will be considered the AP EAMCET score.
For the aspirants with no minimum cut-off, if the marks after normalisation become negative, the score will be considered zero.
AP EAMCET Rank Card: Tie-breaking Policy
In case two or more candidates secure the same combined score, the tie will be resolved considering the following criteria in the same order:
Total marks secured by the candidate in AP EAMCET
Marks scored in the Mathematics and Physics sections of the test
Aggregate percentage secured in the qualifying exam
If the tie does not break, the older candidate (based on the date of birth) will be given preference over the younger one.
