CAT Qualifying Cut-off | Final CAT Cut-off |
---|---|
It is the eligibility cut-off fixed to appear for the WAT-GD-PI round. | It is the shortlist cut-off fixed by the IIMs for the selection of candidates. |
Meeting the qualifying cut-off does not mean the candidate will be selected for WAT/GD-PI round. | Meeting the final CAT cut-off does not mean that the candidate will be selected for admission. |
The qualifying CAT cut-off is fixed before the announcement of the result. | The final cut-off is fixed after the declaration of the CAT result. |
Each campus announces the qualifying CAT cut-off percentiles in their notification of admission criteria and selection process for that academic year. | The final CAT cut-offs are not announced officially by any IIM or even other top MBA institutes. |
WAT-GD-PI round stands for Written Ability Test or Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
Apart from CAT overall cut-off, candidates also need to clear the sectional-wise cut-off for each B-School. Candidates who fail to clear the sectional cut-off scores will not be qualified.
