November 11, 2024CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2023 Analysis: The Central Board of School Education (CBSE) is one of the most prominent boards in India, and it administers the Class 10 board exams. The CBSE administered examinations this academic year using OMR sheets for the first time. The CBSE question paper was formatted as multiple-choice questions with no negative marking.

The question papers for CBSE Class 10 exams were similar to the sample papers. Many students found the exam to be moderate. Most of the questions were taken from NCERT books, and no question was out of the prescribed CBSE syllabus.

The CBSE Class 10 Maths exam 2023 was held on March 21, 2023. According to some subject teachers, the Maths question paper was of average to easy level. Many students found the questions very easy, and a few questions were straight from the NCERT book.
Although the question paper was slightly lengthy, many students were able to complete the paper well ahead of time due to the direct nature of the questions. Most of the questions were asked with figures provided to help the students understand better.
The Class 10 Science paper took two hours to complete. The CBSE Science paper was divided into three sections, each with 15 questions. The total marks for the science paper were 40. Section A included seven two-mark questions, section B had six three-mark questions, and section C had two case-based questions. The question paper was found to be moderate by some students, whereas some found it tricky.
The Social Science exam was conducted on March 15, 2023. According to experts and students, they found the paper easy and well-balanced. The questions asked were not lengthy and directly from the NCERT book. The paper was 40 marks and had three sections. Experts analysed and found that only 2 questions from sections B and C each required critical thinking. In general, the paper was easy and student-friendly.
The CBSE Class 10 English paper consisted of three sections – Reading, Writing, and Grammar and Literature. According to the teachers, the English paper is based on the guidelines provided by the CBSE. Overall, the paper was balanced and not difficult.
The Hindi paper was conducted on March 17, 2023. The Hindi paper was easy but lengthy, as per the students’ responses. However, most of them were able to solve it on time. The paper was 40 marks and consisted of two sections – writing and literature.
