December 8, 2024CBSE Class 10 Marking Scheme and Weightage: The Central Board of Secondary Education has resumed the previous pattern of conducting board exams annually. The whole curriculum for each subject will be covered in the yearly exam. The board decides on the marking scheme and weightage of each subject included in the CBSE Class 10 curriculum. Students must be familiar with the CBSE Class 10 marking scheme and weightage distribution so that they can prepare for the exam accordingly.
Being aware of the weightage and marking scheme helps students prepare for the exam strategically. They will be able to devise a proper timetable to finish the syllabus on time according to the marks each chapter or unit carries. CBSE has modified the CBSE Class 10 marking scheme for the academic year 2025. Each paper carries a total of 100 marks, including internal evaluations and theory. Students need to score at least 33 per cent in a subject and overall percentage as well to pass the board exams. They can practice the CBSE Class 10 questions on Embibe for better comprehension. Students must go through the updated marking scheme to score excellent marks in the exam:

Note: Students should be aware that the internal assessment has not changed. The same 20 marks will be assigned to internal assessments.
There will be an internal assessment for 20 marks and an 80 mark Mathematics theory paper. There will be 30 questions in the exam, and they will be of 1, 2, 3, and 4 marks. The time duration of the exam is three hours. The question paper will be divided into objective, short-answer, and long types of questions. Below is the detailed CBSE Class 10 Maths marking scheme:

The CBSE Class 10 Science exam will be 100 marks. The theory paper will be 80 marks, while the internal assessment will be 20 marks. The exam lasts three hours, and students finish the exam on time to score well. The latest marking scheme for Class 10 Science is tabulated below:
