Every student has to undertake any one project on the following topics compulsorily:

Sustainable Development
The overall objective of the project work is to help students gain insight and pragmatic understanding of the theme and see all the Social Science disciplines from an interdisciplinary perspective. It should also help in enhancing the life skills of the students. Students are expected to apply the Social Science concepts they have learned over the years to prepare the project report. Students may collect data and use different primary and secondary resources to prepare the project if required. Various forms of art may be integrated into the project work.
The distribution of marks over different aspects relating to project work is as follows:

The students’ projects on different topics should subsequently be shared through interactive sessions such as exhibitions, panel discussions, etc. Concerned schools should meticulously maintain all assessment documents under this activity.
A summary report should be prepared to highlight:
Objectives realised through individual work and group interactions;
Calendar of activities;
Innovative ideas generated in the process;
List of questions asked in viva voce.
All the teachers and students must note that the projects and models prepared should be made from eco-friendly products without incurring too much expenditure.
The project report should be handwritten by the students themselves.
Records of projects (internal assessment) of the students will be maintained for three months from the declaration of results for verification at the board’s discretion. Subjudiced cases, if any or those involving RTI/grievances, may be retained beyond three months.
