CBSE Class 10 Term 1: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has divided the CBSE exams into two terms, namely Term 1 and Term 2, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Term 1 syllabus contains approximately half of the complete CBSE Class 10 syllabus. CBSE conducted the Class 10 CBSE 2024-25 Term 1 exam from November 30 till December 11, 2024. The board declared the CBSE Class 10 Term 1 results on March 11, 2025.
Currently, CBSE Class 10 Term 2 exam will start on April 26, 2025. Moreover, the CBSE Class 10 Term 1 2025 exam is expected to be conducted in November 2025 tentatively. The officials of CBSE released the CBSE Class 10 Term 1 date sheet on October 18, 2024, on the official website. With the release of Term 1 date sheet Class 10, the officials have also notified each subject-specific exam date and exam duration with some special instructions. Class 10 CBSE Syllabus 2024-25: 1st Term
For the academic year 2024-25, the Board has decided to keep the CBSE 10th syllabus reduced, as it was the previous year. Due to the current situation and the conduct of classes online, the CBSE Class 10 syllabus has been lowered by 30%. However, the Board has divided the syllabus into two terms, with each term covering half of the syllabus, i.e. CBSE 10 Term 1 exams 2024-25 will cover half of the syllabus, while CBSE 10th Term 2 exams 2025 will cover the other half.
On the official website, the revised syllabus has been published. The CBSE 10 Term 1 Syllabus includes the chapters and subjects studied to pass the exam. Students studying for the class 10 board exams should review the exam pattern. What’s New in Class 10 Term 1 Board Exam?
Board exams are held twice a year: The Board of Education has agreed to hold board examinations twice a year beginning this year. Each semester would cover half of the curriculum.
Exam pattern changes: The CBSE Term 1 Board Exams 2025 will be in MCQ format, whereas the CBSE Term 2 Board Exams will be in a subjective and objective style, as they were the previous year.
30 percent reduction in the syllabus: Schools have been closed because of the COVID19 epidemic, and online classes have been held in their place. Due to the delay of the start of the academic year, the Board has chosen to continue with the shortened curriculum, as it did last year, lowering the academic load on students and teachers equally.
