Q.1: Is it possible to get admission in CBSE Class 12?
Ans: No, students can take admission only in CBSE Class 11 and successfully complete Class 11 to get into CBSE Class 12.
Q.2: What happens if I fail CBSE Class 12 regular and compartment exams?
Ans: Students who fail to pass the compartment exams can apply as a private candidate in the subsequent year to have another opportunity of clearing the CBSE 12th exam. Private candidates have to note that they will have to follow the syllabus and textbooks of the year in which they will be reappearing.
Q.3: Is there an age criteria for appearing in the CBSE Class 12 exams?
Ans: No, CBSE does not specify any minimum age criteria for appearing in the CBSE Class 12 exams. But some schools/regions consider the minimum age to be 17 years, although it is not strictly enforced.
Q.4: Can I appear in the CBSE Class 12 exam if I completed Class 11 and 12 from a private board which is not recognised by CBSE?
Ans: No, only those students who have cleared Class 11 and have completed at least one academic year in Class 12 from CBSE board or any other board recognised by CBSE.
