The Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination is conducted to recruit candidates for the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Officers Training Academy (OTA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), and Indian Air Force Academy (IMFA). How To Practice Questions on UPSC CDS Exam?

Know the steps to practice questions on the UPSC CDS Exam 2025 below:

• 1st Step: Visit Embibe’s official website, i.e., embibe.com.
• 2nd Step: Use the mobile number/email to log in.
• 3rd Step: Click on the menu bar “Getting a Government Job”.
• 4th Step: Select the Goal “Defence” from the dropdown and click “Next”.
• 5th Step: Search and select “UPSC CDS” on the search bar and click “Next”.
• 6th Step: Select the preferred language and click “Done”.
• 7th Step: Click “Practice” from the header Section.
• 8th Step: Scroll down to the “Subjects” section.
• 9th Step: Click on any UPSC CDS Exam subjects.
• 10th Step: Scroll down to click on the chapters from the selected subject to begin the practice.

UPSC CDS Exam Timings 2025

Candidates must enter the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. In each session, entry to the hall closes 10 minutes before the scheduled start of the exam. The examination timings are listed below for English, GK, and Elementary Mathematics.

UPSC CDS 2025 Notification Release Date

UPSC CDS 2025 Application Release Dates

The CDS 1 online application form was activated on December 20, 2025. The last date to submit the CDS application form is January 9, 2025.

UPSC CDS 2025 Admit Card Release Date

The UPSC CDS 1 2024 hall ticket will likely be released in March 2025. Candidates can download the hall ticket from the official website. However, to download the CDS 2025 admit card, they must log in with their registration ID/ roll number and date of birth. The call letter will contain details like the candidate’s name, roll number, exam schedule, exam centre, reporting time, and exam day guidelines.

UPSC CDS 2025 Result Declaration Date

The CDS 1 2025 result and eligible candidates’ roll numbers will be released in May 2025. The written exam and final selection results will be released in two stages. The result of the written exam will be announced first, followed by the announcement of the final result. The roll numbers of the shortlisted candidates will be displayed in PDF format.

UPSC CDS SSB Interview

Candidates who qualify for the CDS written exam can download the SSB interview call letter by logging in to the website. The date and time of reporting will be mentioned in the SSB interview call letter. The selected candidates should carry the following documents:

• SSB call letter
• Matriculation or 10th mark sheet
• Intermediate or 12th or equivalent certificate
• Original graduation degree certificate with mark sheets
• Post-graduation degree certificate and mark sheets (if mentioned in the qualification field in the application form).
• NCC certificates (if required)
• Identity proof like an Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, or Passport.
• The final-year students/candidates whose results are awaited, need to have a certificate issued by the Principal.

SSB Interview will be conducted for 5 days, and several tests like Intelligence Tests, Psychology Tests, Group Testing Officer Tasks (GTO Tasks), and so on will be conducted.
