CLAT Important Dates 2025: Check Application Process & Exam Date
November 27, 2024CET 2022: Common Entrance Test is held for admission to UG and PG courses. CET 2022 exams are administered at the state level. Every year, a large number of students apply for the CET exam in order to gain admission to courses such as engineering, management, medical science studies, and dentistry. The examination notification is made available on the official websites of the respective conducting bodies.
To participate in the admissions process, candidates must meet the eligibility requirements. Those who do not comply will be excluded from consideration for CET 2022. The application forms must then be completed. It is a necessary step. CET 2022 hall tickets will be distributed to successful applicants about a week before the exam.

The examination authority releases certain eligibility guidelines for those appearing for the CET exam.
For the UG and the PG courses, the eligibility criteria differ accordingly. It is described in detail below:-
1. Educational Criteria – Candidates must pass class 12th examination or equivalent exam from a recognized board/university.
2. Minimum Marks Required – One must secure a minimum of 50% marks in class 12th. For reserved category students, there is a relaxation of 5% One has to secure 40% marks.
3. Important Subjects – Those applying for B.Tech courses must choose Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects. The ones opting for the Biotechnology course must choose Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects. For the department of arts, there are no specific guidelines. Always ensure to check the admission brochure before applying.
4. Guidelines for Foreign Nationals- The approach of selection for the foreign nations is going to be a little different. They will be shortlisted on the basis of the respective qualifying examination. For more details, it is advisable to check the brochure of the state wise CET examination depending on one’s suitability.
1. Educational Criteria – Candidates must graduate from a recognized institute/university in the desired domain in which they wish to take admission in.
2. Minimum Marks Required – One must secure a minimum of 50% marks in graduation. For reserved category students, there is relaxation of 5% and has to secure 45% marks.
3. Guidelines for Foreign Nationals – The approach of selection for the foreign nations is going to be a little different. They will be shortlisted on the basis of the respective qualifying examination. For more insights, it is advisable to check the brochure of the state wise CET examination as per one’s suitability.
Note – The state-wise CET eligibility criteria differ. The above-stated norms of eligibility are based on a common perspective.
Candidates were able to submit their application forms on the website from February 10 to April 15, 2022. Candidates who were unable to submit their application forms within this time were able to submit their application forms for the exam with late fee from April 16 to May 11, 2022. In order to participate in the Common Entrance Test, the first and the most important step is to apply for the test. Kindly note it is very important to apply. The stepwise process to apply is described below:-
1st Step: Candidates should visit the official website of the respective states’ CET exam.
2nd Step: Click on the ‘CET application’ option.
3rd Step: Candidates will be required to register themselves by adding basic details such as name, email ID, contact number, etc.
4th Step: After getting registered, candidates will receive their login credentials, i.e. the username and the password. This is valuable information. It will be required throughout the application process.
5th Step: Application Form Filling- In this step, candidates are supposed to fill the form by adding necessary details such as personal information, education details, etc.
6th Step: Document upload process- In this step, candidates will be required to upload necessary documents as mentioned on the application form. Candidates are advised to upload the documents as per the instructions specified.
7th Step: After a successful application completion, candidates will be directed to the payment doorway. They will be required to pay the fee in online mode via credit card, debit card, net banking and so on.
8th Step: A confirmation email along with the fee receipt will be sent on the registered email ID. Kindly take multiple printouts of it for future reference.
Only the successful applicants will be issued CET 2022 admit cards before the CET exam date 2022. The admit cards will be released a week or so before the respective state-level CET is conducted. The admit card is a necessary document. Only those candidates who carry admit cards will be allowed to enter the examination hall.
The CET admit cards mention important details of the exam such as name, roll number, subject name, examination instructions, examination centre, etc. Candidates are supposed to follow important steps to download the CET hall ticket. They will be required to login their students’ dashboard to download CET hall tickets.
How to retrieve forgotten login credentials of CET 2022 exam?
There can be situations wherein candidates may forget their login credentials. In such cases, they will be required to follow a certain stepwise process to retrieve the credentials. It is described below:-
1st Step: Candidates should visit the official website. Candidates who forget their Password, should click on the “Forgot Password” /’Forgot Username’ Option.
2nd Step: Enter the important details such as “Mobile number” or “Email”
3rd Step: Click on the “Submit” option.
4th Step: An OTP will be forwarded to the registered mobile number/email ID.
5th Step: Now the candidate will get an option to create a new password.
6th Step: Candidates need to click on the “Submit” option to successfully change the password.
A week or so after the CET examination, the results are released. The CET result of any state mentions the important details such as the roll number, individual subject performance and the overall score as well, category name, etc. In order to view the CET result, candidates are supposed to follow important steps such as logging into the official website to check their ‘CET Result’.
To participate in the final selection process, candidates are necessarily required to clear the CET cut-off score. Every state CET will have certain guidelines associated with the final selection process. Candidates will be assessed based on their performance in the CET 2022 exam. A merit list will be prepared to mention the name of the students who qualify for the exams. They will be called out for the counseling process. The process consists of two parts: seat allotment and document verification.
