CLAT Application Form 2025: The Consortium of National Law Universities commenced the online applications for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 on July 1, 2025. The last date to complete the CLAT 2025 application form is November 10, 2025. As per the latest notice, CLAT 2025 registration date has been extended. CLAT 2025 admit card will be released in the last week of November 2025.

The CLAT 2025 exam is scheduled for December 3, 2025, in offline mode. The candidates who pass the entrance test will be eligible for admission to UG and PG law courses offered by the 22 National Law Universities. How to Fill the CLAT 2025 Application Form?

The CLAT application form can be filled out by the candidates seeking admission to law programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The candidates can fill out the application form for the CLAT exam with the help of the following steps:

Steps to Fill the CLAT 2025 Application Form

  • 1st Step: Visit the official website of the Consortium of NLU at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
  • 2nd Step: Click on the candidate’s CLAT Registration link in the notification bar.
  • 3rd Step: Now, fill in the necessary details of the candidate, such as the mobile number and e-mail ID, to register on the website.
  • 4th Step: After submitting, an OTP will be generated on the candidate’s registered mobile no. for validation.
  • 5th Step: Now, the candidate will have to log in using the registered mobile no. or email address.
  • 6th Step: After login, the candidates must fill in all the necessary details on the page.
  • 7th Step: Now click on submit button (no further editing will be allowed after submitting the form).
  • 8th Step: Now, candidates should enter the preference order for all 22 NLUs as per their preference.
  • 9th Step: Next, upload all the required documents in the specified format and size.
  • 10th Step: Submit the form and pay the CLAT exam fee online using the Net banking/credit/debit card options.
  • 11th Step: After submitting the fees, the candidates must save the CLAT application form and take the printout for future reference.

How to Update CLAT 2025 Test Centres?

Candidates can follow the steps below to update their test centre preferences in the CLAT 2025 application form.

  • Go to the CLAT’s official website, i.e., consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
  • Then, log in to the CLAT account.
  • On the next window, click the ‘Edit Application button.
  • Next, go to the ‘Preferences’ tab.
  • Then, candidates can choose up to 3 test centres for CLAT 2025.
  • Next, click the Next (>) button.
  • Scroll down and accept the declaration.
  • Finally, click the ‘Save Form’ button.

Note: Candidates can also take this opportunity to review and update their name, date of birth, and reservations if it needs any correction. Also, the Consortium will not entertain any request to change the test centre and other data after the last date.

Details Required for CLAT 2025 Application Form

The candidate needs to fill in the following details while filling out the CLAT registration 2025 online: 

  • Name of the candidate,
  • Selected course (anyone from BBA LLB, BA LLB, B.Com LLB, B.Sc LLB, BSW LLB, LLB and LLM),
  • Date of birth,
  • Email address of the candidate,
  • Gender,
  • Graduation year (for 3 years LLB and LLM students),
  • Mobile number,
  • Name of the candidate,
  • Nationality,
  • Parent’s name,
  • Candidate’s category.

What Documents are Required To be Uploaded for CLAT Registration? 

Candidates must upload a few documents on the official website while completing the CLAT 2025 application form. The list of the documents is given below: 

  • Passport size recent photograph of the candidate with a plain background (in Pdf format) 
  • Signature of the candidate (in PDF format).
  • Category certificate if you are applying under SC/ST/OBC (certificate issued by a competent authority).
  • Category certificate if the candidate is applying for the PWD (certificate issued by a competent authority).
  • Category certificate if the candidate applies for the BPL (certificate issued by a competent authority).

CLAT Application Form 2025 Exam Fees

The candidates must pay the CLAT 2025 application fees online per their category. The fees for the Application Form are as given below:

  • For General/ OBC/ PWD/ NRI/ PIO/ OCI category candidates, the fee is Rs. 4,000.
  • For the SC/ ST/ BPL category candidates, it is Rs. 3500.

CLAT Application Withdrawal Rule 2025

Considering the COVID-19 situation, the Executive Committee of CLAT 2025 has decided to allow candidates to withdraw their registration for CLAT 2025. The candidates can withdraw their applications. Their application fee will be refunded after deducting processing fees. The processing fee is Rs.400 for ST/ SC and Rs.500 for other category students.
