CUSAT CAT Eligibility Criteria 2023

CUSAT CAT eligibility criteria 2023 should be the first thing candidates should know before applying for CUSAT 2023 application form. Authority will only allow eligible candidates to participate in this examination. If any candidates are not eligible at any point in time, they will get disqualified from their candidature.

The basic eligibility for CUSAT CAT admission includes passing the 10+2 boards with 50% marks. Other specifications are as follows:

• Domicile: The Indian, Foreign, or PIO candidates are eligible to appear for the CUSAT CAT 2023 examination.
• KST and KSC category: The Kerala Scheduled Tribe (KST) and Kerala Scheduled Caste (KSC) candidates are eligible for examination only if they secure the minimum aggregate in the qualifying examination.
• Number of attempts: The candidates can attempt the CUSAT CAT multiple times as long as they satisfy other eligibility criteria.
• Age limit: The candidates must be 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2023 to be eligible for CUSAT CAT 2023. The maximum age limit for a candidate to apply for UG courses is 25 years before 30th September 2023. For postgraduate courses, candidates must be less than 22 years of age. For M.Phil and PhD courses, the age of candidates must be less than 28 years. For doctorate candidates, the age limit criteria are 45 years.
• Qualifying marks: For all the reserved category candidates, a minimum of 50% aggregate marks are required to qualify for the examination, and for the rest, a minimum of 60% marks in Mathematics and 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Maths separately.
• Backlogs: Candidates having any backlog in 10+2 for UG courses and graduation for PG courses are not eligible to apply.
• Consideration of Gate Scorecard: The candidates applying for M.Tech Programmes with a valid GATE scorecard are eligible for 5% relaxation in the qualifying examination marks.
