CTET Paper 2 Eligibility Criteria 2024
Only those with permanent Indian citizenship will be eligible to apply for CTET 2024 recruitment. The subjects of Bhutan and Nepal can also register for this exam. Before filling out the application, candidates must meet the CTET 2024 eligibility criteria as mentioned in the below section.
Age Criteria
The following are the age criteria to apply for CTET Paper 2:
- The applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- There is no maximum age.
Education Qualification
Candidates must be graduates who have passed or are actively preparing for the final year exam of a 2-year Elementary Education Diploma.
Or
Candidates must have received at least a 50% grade in their graduation. They must also have completed or be enrolled in a one-year Bachelor of Education program (B.Ed).
Or
They must have received at least 45% in their graduation and have passed or are currently enrolled in a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program in compliance with NCTE regulations.
Or
They must have received at least 50% in Senior Secondary and have passed or are actively preparing for the final year exam of a four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) program.
Or
Aspirants must have completed or been presently enrolled in a 4-year BA/BSc.Ed or BA.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.Ed course and have passed or been currently enrolled in a Senior Secondary or equivalent exam with at least 50% marks.
Or
Candidates must have received at least 50% in their graduation and have passed or been currently enrolled in a 1-year B.Ed (Special Education) program.
Note: This applies to applicants who have earned a Bachelor of Education credential from an NCTE-accredited institution.
Number of Attempts
To get a CTET Certificate, candidates can take this exam as often as they desire. No limit exists to how many times an applicant can take the test. Furthermore, those who have qualified for the exam can retake it to improve their scores.

CTET is one of the most challenging tests to pass due to the high level of competition. You must complete each section and score higher scores to crack the exam. Here are some CTET preparation strategies to help you pass with flying colours:
- The pedagogical study is very difficult and an important section of the CTET Paper 2 Syllabus 2024. As a result, you must carefully review all of the pedagogic questions. Don’t be alarmed if some of the questions appear to be distorted.
- Regular practice is the key to mastering those mathematical ideas and equations. Solve mathematical problems daily and devise shortcuts to speed up the process. Keep in mind that repetition is the key to success.

CBSE issued the CTET Paper 2 admit card on January 18, 2024 at ctet.nic.in. Candidates must first obtain their hall ticket from the official website and then leave for the exam centre. Follow the given steps to download their CTET Paper 2 admit card:
- Visit the official website – ctet.nic.in.
- The homepage has a link to download the CTET 2024 admit card.
- Then, using the registration number (provided during the application process) and date of birth, click on the link to download the hall ticket.
- After logging in, the CTET 2024 hall ticket will appear on the screen. Candidates must review all of the information and download it.
- Take 2 to 3 printouts of the CTET Admit Card after downloading it.
CTET Paper 2 Answer Key 2024
The officials uploaded the CTET Paper 2 answer key on February 7, 2024 — after the successful completion of the online test. It allowed applicants to evaluate the answers to the questions asked during their shifts. After the answer key was released, applicants could check these responses after logging in and raise objections if any corrections were required.
The CBSE then reviewed all of the raised objections and made corrections if they discovered a valid error. The board then released the final CTET answer key.
