Candidates planning to appear for the CTET Paper 2 exam need to start preparing for the exam, and the best way to do so is by knowing the Exam Pattern.

Candidates need to secure a total of 60 per cent to pass the eligibility test and get the job they want. The exam pattern will provide a good understanding of what to expect in the exam. Moreover, candidates will have a good idea of the marking scheme by referring to the exam pattern. Read on to learn more about the CTET Paper 2 exam pattern.
The CTET Paper 2 exam will have 4 sections. Each section will test candidates’ prowess in teaching children from Classes 6 to 8. The exam pattern will enable candidates to prepare better for the exam. Along with the exam pattern, it is important that candidates refer to the CTET Paper 2 syllabus for efficient preparation.

As already mentioned, CTET Paper 2 will consist of 150 marks and the total number of questions is 150. Now, when it comes to marking distribution, every section is allotted 30 marks each (except one section). So, candidates have to put equal emphasis on each section.
Moving on, it is important to note that there is no negative marking for CTET Paper 2, unlike other competitive exams. So this allows candidates to analyse each question and give the most confident answer.
The good thing about the CTET Paper 2 selection process is that there is only one stage. Candidates only have to get the minimum qualifying marks to clear the exam. The minimum qualifying mark that candidates have to get to pass the CTET Paper 2 exam is 60 per cent.
Once candidates clear the exam, it should be remembered that any school will not recruit them; rather, they will be given an Eligibility Certificate. After receiving the certificate successfully, candidates can apply for jobs nationwide.
