Study Plan to Maximise Score
Preparation Tips
To pass the ESIC Stenographer exam, you willl need a solid preparation strategy. So, here are some considerations for candidates as they plan their preparation strategy:
- Even before beginning their preparation, candidates should familiarise themselves with the ESIC Stenographer Syllabus and Exam Pattern.
- Candidates must create a realistic study schedule for the month, day, or week.
- Candidates must not overwork themselves and must take frequent breaks.
- Candidates must develop a revision strategy and revise the topics at least once a week.
- Candidates should set aside time to practise sets, test series, and previous year’s papers, among other things.
- Finally, candidates must maintain their optimism and persevere in their endeavours.
Detailed Study plan
Before we get started on exam preparation, let us look at the exam pattern for the ESIC UDC, MTS, and Steno exam 2022.
- Quantitative aptitude, General Intelligence and Reasoning, English comprehension, and General awareness are the four subjects covered in the ESIC prelims and main exam for UDC and MTS.
- Except for quantitative aptitude, all of the above subjects are covered in the ESIC Steno online exam.
- A computer skill test is included in the ESIC UDC and Steno exams. The ESIC MTS exam, on the other hand, does not have a computer proficiency test.
- The ESIC UDC and MTS prelims test comprises 100 questions with 200 in one hour.
- The ESIC UDC and MTS mains exam consists of 200 questions with 200 marks in two hours. The ESIC Exam Pattern can be used to learn more about the exam pattern selection procedure. Before beginning your preparation method, you should look over the ESIC curriculum and ESIC books.
1. Best Strategy for Preparing General Intelligence and Reasoning
Coding-decoding, Paper folding, Embedded figure, Dice, Inequalities, Syllogism, and Direction sense is among the easier topics on the ESIC 2022 Reasoning Ability part, so they should be tackled first. While studying, you must first go over the following chapters.
- Syllogism
- Coding-Decoding
- Inequality
- Paper folding
- Direction Sense
- Blood Relations
- Embedded figure
- Mirror image
Candidates must be familiar with the syllabus and key chapters so that no vital topics are overlooked. The only way to succeed in this part is to practise. So practise different types of questions by taking mock tests and sectional tests.
You can prepare for the ESIC Test series using the Bank Test Series created by Embibe’s professionals.
2. Best Strategy to Prepare Quantitative Aptitude
Some applicants are unable to answer mathematical aptitude questions on time the majority of the time. Candidates’ failure to pass the tests is primarily due to a lack of preparation in this area.
- Simplification / Approximation
- Quadratic Equations
- Data Interpretation
- Number Series
- Arithmetic chapters( Average, percentage, ratio, time-work, time speed, partnership, interest etc.)
While practicing, note down any formulas or shortcuts you come across. This will come in handy later because you’ll be able to review your notes before the exam rapidly. As a result, you’ll be able to save time while revising at the last minute with these notes. Make an effort to understand things in your own words and come up with your quick suggestions for each chapter.
3. Best Strategy to Prepare English
In English, three sections are there:-
- Grammar
- Vocabulary
- Reading Comprehension.
Candidates should be aware that reading comprehension is sometimes snatched from newspaper editorials. To become proficient in English, it is critical to developing the habit of reading newspapers regularly. Candidates should go through the Editorial section every day. Reading newspapers may also assist you in answering questions from the exam’s general knowledge part. Go over the basic grammar rules and practice questions from any typical grammar book on the market.
- Reading Comprehension
- Match the column
- Cloze Test
- Error Spotting/Sentence Correction/Sentence Improvements
- Fillers
- Phrase Replacement
- Sentence Completion
- Sentence Rearrangement/Para jumble
4. Best Strategy to Prepare General Awareness
- Static GK- Read any standard GK book, such as Lucent’s or Tarun Goyal’s. After reviewing the previous year’s question papers, go over all relevant chapters. As many questions as possible should be practised.
- Current Affairs: You must study current events via the Embibe app for 4-5 months. You can also consult any ordinary newspaper. Before the exam, go over them again.
Previous Year Cut-off
After the result and scorecard are revealed, the ESIC UDC/Stenographer cut-off for 2022 will be released. As a result, candidates should review the ESIC previous year cut-offs for the UDC and Stenographer exams to understand the test trends and create goals accordingly.
The previous year’s ESIC Stenographer cut-off will allow you to assess the level of difficulty of the ESIC recruitment and work on your preparation accordingly. We have included the ESIC cut-off for ESIC Stenographer by state-wise for your convenience.
