The selection process comprises three phases: Prelims, Main and Computer Skill Tests. A total of 1769 vacancies were released across 26 regional offices for the ESIC UDC 2022 recruitment.

The only eligibility criteria to appear in the ESIC UDC Mains exam is to qualify in the prelims exam. However, if candidates fail to meet the following eligibility criteria, they will not be permitted to take the ESIC UDC Mains examination.
There is some prescribed age limit for the ESIC UDC posts. Candidates must be between 18 and 27 years. The minimum age for the candidates is 18 years and the maximum age for the candidates who are applying for the ESIC UDC is 27 years.
Reserved category members, such as SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen, as well as ESIC employees and government employees, have their upper age limit relaxed. Refer to the below table for the age relaxation of various categories.

Candidates must complete the degree (B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com etc) and B.E, B.Tech and other equivalent education from the recognised universities are eligible to apply for the ESIC UDC posts.
