November 19, 2024GATE Scorecard 2022: IIT Kharagpur has released the GATE 2022 scorecard online at gate.iitkgp.ac.in on March 22, 2022. Candidates can use their enrollment ID and password to login at the portal and download the scorecard. Earlier, IIT Kharagpur release the GATE 2022 result on March 16, 2022.

It should be noted that the GATE score is valid for the 3 years. Candidates can use the scores for getting admission to M.Tech courses. GATE 2022 scorecard will be liable for 3 years. After the declaration of the result, the GATE scorecard can be downloaded by candidates whose marks are greater than or equal to the qualifying marks in the respective papers.

The candidates need to verify all the details mentioned on the GATE 2022 scorecard which should match with the details mentioned earlier in the registration form. In case of any discrepancy, the candidates need to make contact immediately with the exam conducting officials. The details mentioned on the scorecard are as under:
The actual marks secured by the aspirant will be used to calculate the GATE score. In multi-session papers, the raw marks obtained by the candidates in different sessions will be normalized for that particular subject to get the GATE score. For single session papers, the raw marks will be used for calculating the GATE Score. You can check the formula below to calculate the GATE Score:
The candidates who have qualified for the GATE exam will only be able to download the GATE scorecard. The candidates can download the scorecard through the GOAPS portal. GATE scorecard should be kept safe until the counselling is complete and for future purposes. GATE scorecard will be valid for 3 years from the result declaration and candidates can get admission to MTech courses on the basis of the GATE scorecard. Also with the help of this GATE scorecard, they can get a chance to be recruited in PSUs. The candidates need to understand that no hard copy will be sent for the same through the post. So they need to download it in digital format.
The official conducting authority will release the GATE scorecard only for those candidates who have qualified for the GATE 2022 Exam. So the candidates who have not met that requirement set by GATE officials will not be able to download the GATE Scorecard 2022. However, the candidates who have appeared for the exams but are not qualified will not receive any rank.
Also, the candidate who has appeared in the GATE Exam and has not qualified in the same will get the ranks. These ranks will be only for General Category candidates who have qualified for the OBC cut-off. The reason behind this condition is that the GATE scorecard will be valid for 3 years and if in any case candidate’s caste gets changed within 3 years, then they can make use of these ranks and cut-off specified by the officials.
The scorecard has a validity of three years from the date of the announcement of the GATE Result. Also, a minor download charge of ₹ 500 has to be paid by the qualified candidates in order to get their GATE 2022 Scorecard after June 30 till December 31, 2022, from the GOAPS portal.

To qualify for the GATE Exam, it is important to secure the minimum GATE Cut-off percentage. It will be declared branch wise on the official website. The students who have been given the exam, need to make sure that the GATE Cut-off for PSUs is different and will be released individually by each of them. Based on these cut-off marks, the affiliated institutes and recruitment firms will release the merit list for recruitment. The GATE Exam qualified candidates will be eligible for the government-aided allowance, stipend and scholarships.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a public assessment led mutually by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Delhi, Bombay, Guwahati, Kanpur, Roorkee Madras and Kharagpur) for the benefit of the National Coordination Board (NCB)- GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Administration of India.
