In some cases, there may be a situation where candidates secure an equal score. There is a tie-breaking process laid down by the examination authorities to resolve such situations. The tie-breaking process toward the release of the GCET 2025 merit list is explained as follows:-

Subject Wise Preference:-

Here is the subject-wise preference as laid by the examination authorities towards a tie-breaking situation in GCET 2025 examination:-

1. Performance in Mathematics is placed higher preference when there is a situation between two people with the same scores. 
2. The next preference is given to the students securing higher scores in Chemistry, in case the tie persists.
3. If the tie is still not resolved, the next preference is given to the performance in the XII examination as per the Physics and Mathematics aggregate. Candidates with higher marks in Mathematics are placed a higher preference to resolve the tie-breaking situation. 
4. If in case, despite applying the above three processes, the tie still persists, then the preference will be given to the candidate with older age will be given more preference.

Guidelines to Resolve Discrepancy in GCET 2025 Merit List:-

1. Candidates must carefully check the merit list of the Goa CET 2025 examination. It will display their basic details, such as roll number, names, etc., along with the scores of the candidates in the GCET 2021 exam.
