GFTIs in India – There are 20 Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) in India. The institutes are funded by the Government of India. Candidates need to qualify JEE Main to get admission in the Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). The admission is done by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority. JEE Main rank is determined on the basis of scores of JEE Main plus the class 12th marks in the ratio (60:40).
All the GFTIs in India have to participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority – JoSAA process conducted for the candidates qualifying JEE Main Exam. The All India Rank will determine the selection of the aspirants for the B.Tech programs. Top GFTI Colleges In India – Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for GFTIs in India must fulfil the eligibility criteria. Aspirants must qualify the specified entrance exam to pursue B.Tech program from the institutes. Check below the GFTI eligibility criteria-
Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
Aspirants need to qualify JEE Main for admission to the B.Tech program.
GFTIs Admission Process
Candidates are required to qualify JEE Main with the specified marks to participate in the admission process. The GFTIs offer admission based on the All India Rank of the aspirants in the entrance exam. Check the below-mentioned steps of GFTIs admission:
1st Step: Counselling Registration
To participate in the JoSAA counselling process, the aspirants must register via online mode.
Candidates can log in by using their respective JEE Main exam roll numbers.
Candidates are not required to fill any other personal or academic details to register for JoSAA.
2nd Step: Choice-Filling through JoSAA
Candidates who qualify the JEE Main exam are considered to be eligible for admission to the courses offered by the different GFTIs in India.
Candidates must select the stream and the institute for which he/she is interested to apply.
Once the candidates have selected the stream, they will have to arrange the choice in order of their preference.
3rd Step: Seat Allotment
The counselling dates for admission to the Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) is provided by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority.
Only the candidates who qualify JEE Main will be able to take part in the GFTI counselling.
The seat allotment for GFTIs will be done on the basis of the rank and score achieved by a candidate in the JEE Main exam.
