November 18, 2024Green Olympiad 2023: Green Olympiad is conducted by TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) every year for school students annually since 1999. This Olympiad assesses students’ environment quotient and enhances their understanding of issues related to sustainable development. The Olympiad is open to students in classes 4-12 from India and abroad. This exam consists of multiple-choice questions on environment and sustainable development and is associated with the UN Decade of ESD and Global Action Program (GAP).
Every year, the Environment Education and Awareness of TERI conducts the examination for all schools affiliated with recognized boards and educational trusts to evaluate their environmental knowledge. The official application form for Green Olympiad 2023 has not been released yet; however, we will update this article as soon as the form becomes available.

The officials divide the students of various grades into level. The students from grades 4 to 12 can participate in the Green Olympiad via the below-mentioned levels-
All the aspirants/schools must fulfil the eligibility requirements to apply for the Green Olympiad. The officials specify the conditions for the reference of the interested students. Eligible aspirants can apply online for the Olympiad. Individuals and schools can register for the Olympiad. The students must check the schedule of the Olympiad available at the official website of TERI for the application process. Check below the steps to apply for Green Olympiad-
1st Step: Registration
Aspirants need to provide a level, name, standard, name of the school, address, etc. to register for the Olympiad.
2nd Step: Payment
On completion of the registration, the students will be directed to the payment gateway. The applicant needs to pay a registration fee of INR 75 via any of the online payment modes.
Schools need to pay a non-refundable registration fee of INR 75 with a deduction of INR 5 per student.
3rd Step: Receipt
Candidates will receive a receipt at the registered mail id on the successful transaction of the payment.
