The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, GSEB, is a state education board responsible for imparting quality education to the students in the state. The board is also responsible for regulating the board exams for Class 10 and Class 12 and setting the guidelines for schools to conduct various school-level examinations. The board was established in 1972 under the Gujarat Secondary Education Act 1972.

The board designs the syllabus and curriculum for primary, secondary and higher secondary education. Apart from that, it also recommends textbooks by which schools affiliated to the board have to follow. Classes 10 and 12 are board examinations, in which the board decides the exam and result dates.
