The HSSC Clerk selection process has two stages. The written exam will be conducted first, and candidates who clear the written exam will become eligible for the next stage, i.e., socio-economic criteria and experience. The first stage of the selection process is the written exam. This stage will have a weightage of 90 per cent in the final merit list, and the exam will be objective type. The section-wise weightage of the written exam is given below:

Candidates who clear the written exam will become eligible for the socio-economic criteria and experience. This stage has a total of 10 marks, and candidates will be awarded marks according to their socio-economic condition. Also, the conducting body will give a minimum of 0.5 marks to candidates who have prior experience in the Haryana government posts. The experience marks can go on till 8 marks.
