IB ACIO 2023: The Ministry of Home Affairs is responsible for conducting the Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence Officers (IB ACIO 2023) exam. The qualified candidates will be hired in ACIO Grade II/Executive position within the IB. In order to complete the online application process, candidates need to be ready with the following:

How to Apply Online for IB ACIO?

• Visit the official website – mha.gov.in.

• The candidate will first have to fill in the basic details such as name, mobile number, email ID, etc., to obtain the application/ registration number and password for future login.
• Log in using the registration number and password. Now start filling up the application form with personal details, educational details, choice of exam city, etc.
• Upload the photograph and signature in a single file as per the prescribed format and size.
  Note: The scanned copy of the colour passport size photograph and signature must be in the same jpg/jpeg format with a file size not exceeding 50KB.
• Preview the filled application form and review all the details. Also, check if the uploaded documents are correct and legible.
• Save the details and click on the fee payment option. Choose either online mode (Debit/Credit/Net Banking) or Offline (Bank Challan) mode to pay the application fee (if applicable).
• Retain the fee payment receipt and then take the printout of the filled application form for future reference.

IB ACIO Selection Process

The first stage of the selection process is the IB ACIO Tier-I exam. Tier-I is an objective type exam, and candidates clearing the cut-off will be eligible to appear for the IB ACIO Tier-II exam. The Tier-II exam is descriptive in nature.

Candidates meeting the Tier-II cut-off will be called for a Personal Interview. Then, the list of shortlisted candidates will be released, and those candidates will go through the Character and Antecedent verification, followed by a medical examination.

The authority will conduct the IB ACIO Tier-I examination in various centres throughout the country. Candidates have to choose three exam centres for the Tier-I exam. IB ACIO Exam Pattern

The Intelligence Bureau ACIO exam is conducted in two stages. The Tier-I exam will be of objective type, and the Tier–II will have descriptive type questions. Candidates must follow the IB ACIO Previous year paper to prepare for their exams in a proper manner.

• A composite time of 1 hour is allotted to complete the exam
• 1/4th of the marks will be deducted from the total for every wrong answer as per the negative marking scheme.

• A total of 60 minutes is allotted to complete the Tier-II exam.
• In order to qualify for the next stage, candidates should at least secure 33% of marks in Intelligence Bureau ACIO Tier-II exam.

The hall ticket is released separately for Tier-I and Tier-II and the interview rounds by the exam conducting body, i.e., the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Candidates need to be aware of the following points:

• The eligibility of the candidate will not be verified during the application process. However, at later stages, if the candidate does not meet the eligibility then, he/ she will be disqualified, leading to the cancellation of the candidature.
• Candidates will have to carry the hard copy of the IB ACIO exam admit card along with a valid ID proof to the exam centre. Make sure that the photo and signature on the admit card are clear and legible.
• Candidates will have to report to the centres as per the schedule, and no candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall 30 minutes after its commencement.
