The Intelligence Bureau of India conducts the IB Security Assistant exam every year to recruit eligible candidates in various sectors of the Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SIB). The IB Security Assistant Notification 2023 was released on October 14, 2023. However, the applications were accepted till November 13, 2023. The admit card was released on December 17, 2023. The IB Security Assistant salary is decided by the Government of India. Apart from the pay scale, various other Central Government allowances will also be included in the monthly salary of an IB Security Assistant/MTS.

IB Security Assistant Job Profile

According to the IB Security Assistant job description, applicants are expected to perform a variety of tasks and share responsibilities as assigned by their superiors. The main responsibility of the Assistant is to help the Security Officer in gathering information about law and order problems. The following are some of the duties that candidates selected as IB Security Assistants:

• They are in charge of reporting incidents to the police as directed by the authorities.
• They are required to patrol and check duties throughout the day and night.

Applicants must fulfil the age, educational, and nationality criteria to be eligible for the exam. They can check the IB Security eligibility requirements below:

Nationality

To fulfil the Security Assistant Tier 1 nationality criteria, the candidate must be an Indian citizen. 

Age Limit

Candidates willing to apply for the IB Security must not be more than 27 years old as on closing date; whereas, those applying for MTS/Gen must be between 18 and 25 years old as on the last date.

IB Security Age Relaxation

Applicants from the reserved categories are granted relaxation in the upper limit:

IB Security Educational Qualification

• The job applicants must have completed matriculation (10th) or equivalent courses from a recognised board of education.
• Candidates must know any one of the local spoken languages as per the requirement of the post so that they can read/write/communicate in the prevalent languages.
• Acceptable work experience – Field experience in Intelligence work.

Also (only for SA/MT);

• (i) Candidates must possess a valid driving license for Motor Cars (LMV) issued by the competent authority;
• (ii) They must have knowledge of Motor Mechanisms (The candidate should be able to remove minor defects in the vehicle), and
• (iii) Experience driving a Motor Car for at least one year after obtaining a valid driving license.

IB Security Number of Attempts

The number of attempts for the Security Assistant or MTS examination is unlimited. However, applicants must meet the age limit and other criteria to apply. If they fail to fulfil any of the criteria, they will not be able to attempt the test.

IB Security Language Proficiency

The Intelligence Bureau Security Assistant exam will be conducted in both English and Hindi language, except for the English subject. 

The Intelligence Bureau has started accepting online applications for the Security Assistant 2023-24 exam from October 14, 2023. To avoid any last-minute technical issues, eligible candidates submitted online applications for Security Assistant or MTS positions before November 13, 2023.

How to Apply Online for IB Security Tier 1 Exam?

The steps listed below should be followed in order to register and submit an application for the IB Security 2023-24 exam:

• Register yourself through the MHA’s official website (www.mha.gov.in) or the NCS portal (www.ncs.gov.in).
• Use your login credentials to access the IB Security Assistant or MTS Application Form after registering. Complete the application by entering all the needed details.
• Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
• Pay the online application fee.
• Submit the application form. Take a printout of the same for future reference.

Intelligence Bureau Security Assistant Application Fee 

There is two components of the application fee. One is the examination fee of ₹50/-, and another is the recruitment processing charges of ₹450/-. Candidates can check the details of IB Security Assistant application fees below:

The Intelligence Bureau (IB) of India released the IB Security Assistant Admit Card 2023-24 on December 17, 2023. The admit card is available on the official website of the Intelligence Bureau of India till the exam date, i.e., December 20, 2023. 

Candidates can download the hall ticket by using their registration number and date of birth in the login window. They must bring a hard copy of the admit card to the exam centre.

As soon as the Intelligence Bureau Security Assistant exam is finished, candidates can check the Tier 1 answer key. Any participant who finds a wrong answer in the answer key needs to report it to the appropriate authority through the website. If the issue is confirmed, the authority will correct the error.

The result of the Intelligence Security Assistant exam will be released only after the recruitment exam gets completed. Candidates who pass the Tier 1 online test will move to the next round of the selection process.
