Candidates belonging to the SC/ST and PwD categories must present a certificate of caste or category that has been issued and signed by a competent authority in the prescribed format as stipulated by the Government of India.
In the case of OBC candidates, the certificate should specifically state that they do not belong to the creamy layer. Such candidates are ineligible for the relaxation and must apply under the General category.
Ex-servicemen will be restricted from applying for civil service jobs if they have previously taken advantage of the relaxation benefits in seeking employment in civil services before applying for the exam.
Ex-servicemen will be candidates who have previously served in the armed forces. They can apply for re-employment one year before the end of their specified terms of engagement and take advantage of the benefits available to ex-servicemen. They will not be allowed to leave the uniform until their service in the Armed Forces Union is completed.
