The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) administers the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and the Indian School Certificate (ISC) exams for Class 12. Based on the New Education Policy (1986), the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education provides an exam in the course of general education through the medium of English.

• April 17, 2023: The Board will announce Class 12 results in May 2023. 
• January 5, 2023: The ISC Class 12 exams will be held in two shifts: 9 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM.
• December 1, 2022: The ISC Class 12 exams will take place from February 13 to March 31, 2023.
• CISCE Class 12 exam shall be conducted once a year, and the syllabus has been updated accordingly.

ISC Class 12 Application Form 2023

Regular students must fill out the examination form as instructed by their respective schools in order to apply for ISC Class 12 exams 2022-23.

Private candidates must submit the application form, the prescribed fee and three passport-sized photographs to the regional officer of ISC of the state/UT they reside in.

ISC Class 12 Exam Pattern Details - Scoring Pattern (+/- Marking)

Students can check the ISC Class 12 exam pattern from the official website given by the CISCE. There are two stages of the exam. One is theoretical, and the other is practical. 

As per the marking scheme, the written exam will receive 80% of the marks, and the internal assessment will receive 20%. For Science and Computer disciplines, there will be practical exams involved. 

All the students preparing for the ISC Exam 2023 must choose English as a compulsory subject. They also need to opt for three, four or five elective subjects. Students must pass these subjects to get passing marks in ISC Class 12. The passing marks in the ISC exam are 40% in every subject.

ISC Board Class 12 Exam Pattern: Group Distribution

ISC Class 12 Mathematics Exam Pattern

The following table has a detailed description of the ISC Class 12 Mathematics examination pattern, such as the total number of questions, duration, and marks.

Math will also have 2 papers- theory and project work: 80 marks for theory and 20 marks for project work. Math Syllabus will comprise 3 sections wherein section-A is compulsory for all the students, students can choose any one between section-B and section-C and attempt the questions.

Theory

Section-A will comprise 65 marks students will need to answer the following questions from it. Relations and functions- 10 marks Algebra- 10 marks Calculus- 32 marks Probability- 13 Section-B will comprise 15 marks students will need to answer the following questions Vectors- 5 marks Three- dimensional geometry – 6 marks Application of integrals- 4 marks Or Section-C Application of calculus- 5 marks Linear regression – 6 marks Linear programming – 4 marks

Project work

Students have to make 2 projects one from section-A and one either from section-B or from Section-C. The project will be examined by the Subject teacher and a visitor. Then, it will be approved by the council. Each project will comprise 10 marks.

ISC Class 12 Physics Exam Pattern

ISC Class 12 Physics also has two papers: theory and practical. The theory will be 70 marks and the practical will be 20 marks. Given below is the detailed exam pattern for ISC Class 12 Physics that students can refer to:

ISC Class 12 Project Work 2023

From the examination year 2023 onwards, project work has been introduced in the selected subjects at the ISC level. The subjects listed below will have project work from 2023 for 20 marks:

The steps to download the ISC Class 12 timetable are as follows:

The CISCE Class 12 exam is expected to take place in April/May 2023 and the results will be announced in July 2023 (tentatively). Last year, the ISC Class 12 Semester 2 results were released on July 24, 2022. 

Students can check their ISC Class 12 results by sending an SMS apart from checking them online. The original scorecard will be made available in the respective schools one month after the declaration of the result.

The Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India, introduced a DigiLocker facility for students to download their digital mark sheets. This feature was first launched in 2014. Since then, many students have used it. For students to download their digital mark sheets and certificates, they need to have a DigiLocker account. In order to open a Digi locker account, follow these steps.

• Step 1: Open the official website www.digilocker.gov.in.
• Step 2: Select the Education option.
• Step 3: Select CISCE.
• Step 4: Select the Class 12 mark sheet.
• Step 5: If you don’t have a Digi locker account, select the Create New Account option.
• Step 6: The student will not be an Adhar cardholder hence click on “create your account using mobile”.
• Step 7: Enter the mobile number.
• Step 8: An OTP will be received on the registered mobile number.
• Step 9: Enter the OTP to generate a Username & Password.

ISC Revaluation of Result 2023

Students who are not satisfied with their marks can opt for the option of re-evaluation of answer sheets. By following these steps, students can apply for rechecking of answer booklets:

• Step 1: Visit the official website of CISCE i.e. www.cisce.org.
• Step 2: On the website homepage, select the Services option, present in the top right corner.
• Step 3: Click on the link stating “click here to apply for a recheck.”
• Step 4: A new popup will open. Click on the option stating “click here to register”.
• Step 5: In the new login window, students will mention their email id and password.
• Step 6: After signing in, students will fill up all the required attributes.

The fee for rechecking is INR. 1000 per subject, which can be paid only via online mode. Students can apply for re-evaluation within 7 days of the result declaration.

As the board exams for the academic year 2023 are yet to be conducted, the toppers list shall be announced along with the ISC Class 12 final exam results 2023. 

Last year, the ISC Class 12 Toppers’ List 2022 was released by CISCE on July 24. The topper list was released along with the ISC Result 2022 on the official website cisce.org. In 2022 a total of 18 students shared the top rank. Also, the overall pass percentage of ISC result 2022 was 99.38%.
