The Indian Army Agniveer position is a part of the Agnipath scheme which was launched on June 14, 2022. The candidates appointed for the post of Indian Army Agniveer 8th Pass will have to serve their post for at least 4 years. The candidates will be eligible for applying for the position from the age of 17-½ years to 23 years. Since their tenure will be four years, their pay scale will vary across the years. The Agniveer Tradesmen 8th Pass payscale is as follows:

At the end of their service years, i.e, after 4 years, all the Agniveers will be receiving a bonus of Rs 10.04 lakhs under the Seva Nidhi Package. The amount deducted from their salary by the Government of India during their tenure will be Rs 5.02 lakhs. The amount that the candidates receive will be inclusive of their interests. The Seva Nidhi package will not be applicable for any Income Tax.
