Indian Coast Guard Application Form 2022

As per the Indian Coast Guard Navik 2022 Notification, candidates will have to apply for posts through online mode only. The last date to apply for the same was January 14, 2022. Here, we have enlisted the step-by-step procedure to fill out the application form on the official website. Candidates must go through them for their better understanding.

  • 1st Step: Visit the official website – joinindiancoastguard.gov.in
  • 2nd Step: Click on the link –  “Career Opportunity” button, available at the right-hand top corner of the page.
  • 3rd Step: You will now land on an instruction page. Read the instructions carefully.
  • 4th Step: Now, choose the post you want to apply for, i.e.,  Navik (General Duty), Navik (Domestic Branch) or Yantrik
  • 5th Step: Click on “I Agree” button and click on the ‘OK’ button on the popup.  A new page opens to fill the application form.
  • 6th Step: Fill in the Indian Coast Guard application form with all the details such as personal, qualification, centre choice, photo, signature, etc. Note that the starred fields are mandatory.
  • 7th Step: Upload the Photograph & Signature. Recheck all the provided information and click on the “Submit” button.
  • 8th Step: After the successful submission of the application form an Application/ Registration number will be generated. Preserve it for future reference.
Note: Candidates will have to use the same registration number to download the e-admit card. Besides that, candidates will also have to carry all the required documents along with the ICG admit card/ call letter.

Indian Coast Guard Selection Process 2022

Candidates must understand the selection process for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2022 mentioned below:

  1. The applications received for the posts will be scrutinized and only eligible and appropriate applications will be accepted. The officials will also mention the reason for the rejection of the application form if the application is rejected.
  2. In the next step, the e- admit card will be released. Candidates will have to carry all the required documents to the exam centre for verification. Only valid applications will be considered for further processing
  3. Candidates will then have to attend the written test and candidates clearing the written test will be called for the Physical Fitness Test
  4. The candidates will be shortlisted based on a higher percentage of marks for a particular examination Centre.
  5. The qualifying cut-off percentage of a particular Centre may be increased if there are more number of applicants with a higher percentage.
  6. The written examination will be of objective type covering the subjects namely, Maths, Science, Reasoning, General Knowledge, and English will be in Section I for Navik (DB), Navik (GD) & Yantrik.
  7. The Navik GD will have 12th class Maths and Physics in Section II and Yantrik will have Diploma Level technical subjects for Section II.
  8. Candidates who qualify the written test will undergo physical fitness test and preliminary medical examination.
  9. The physical test will include 1.6 km run in 7 mins, 20 squats up and 10 push up.
  10. Candidates who qualify the physical test will undergo a preliminary medical examination.
  11. Based on the written exam and physical test, candidates will be shortlisted for medical examination in a ratio decided by the officials.
  12. Finally, the zone-wise list of selected candidates will be released on the official website.

Indian Coast Guard Admit Card 2022

Indian Coast Guard will release the e-admit card for the written test on the official website as mentioned above.

  1. Candidates will have to visit the Join Indian Coast Guard website.
  2. Click on the link appearing for the Indian Coast Guard Admit Card (Navik DC )
  3. Enter Registration Number/ Email ID and Date of Birth to download the admit card/ call letter.

Candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam if they do not possess a valid admit card. Besides that, on the exam day candidates must also carry several other documents as prescribed in the official notification.

Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2022: Documents Required

Candidates will have to carry these documents along with the Indian Coast Guard admit card 2022. These documents are to be submitted to the examination centre. Candidates will have to carry both original and attested photocopies of the certificates. The original documents will be returned after verification.

  1. Three copies of the pre-filled e-admit card
  2. Two copies of the application form
  3. Class 10 pass certificate/ matriculation certificate and mark sheet (in original)
  4. Original class 12 pass certificate and mark sheet (for Navik GD)
  5. Original Diploma Certificates (for Yantrik)
  6. Ten copies of passport size photographs with a blue background.
  7. Photo ID Proof Such as Driving licence, voter ID, aadhar card, passport, etc

However, it is to be noted that if the candidate is pursuing higher education he can submit a self-attested photocopy of the 10th/ 12th class mark sheet. Besides that, Candidates pursuing higher education are also required to produce a duly signed certificate by the head of Registrar/ chancellor clearly indicating the list of original certificates held.

Provisional pass certificate (10th class) will be accepted in case state boards are late in the issue of original certificates, subject to production of original pass certificate at INS Chilka before induction in Indian Coast Guard. Indian Coast Guard Result 2022

The Indian Coast Guard Result of each stage will be released on the official website after the conduction of the exam. The ICG result will be released as a PDF in the form of a Merit List.
