According to the salary structure, Agniveers get an initial salary of Rs. 30000 per month in the first year. Furthermore, they get a fixed hike every subsequent year till the fourth year. Aspirants must also note that an Agniveer receives only 70% of the total salary as an in-hand salary. The remaining 30% of the total salary contributes to Agniveer Corpus Fund. On completion of their term of four years, Agniveers will be paid a one-time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package of Rs 11.71 Lakh, which will comprise the salary contribution including accrued interest thereon and a matching contribution from the Government equal to the accumulated amount of the contribution.
