JEE Advanced 2024: Exam Date, Syllabus, Eligibility Criteria

JEE Advanced 2024: The engineering entrance exam will be conducted by one of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), Madras, under the aegis of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). Either one of the seven Zonal Co-ordinating IITs, i.e., IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, and IIT Roorkee, conduct JEE Advanced 2024. This year, the selected IIT is IIT Madras. Top 2,50,000 JEE Main qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced 2024 exam.

Candidates must go through the entire JEE Advanced eligibility criteria before applying for the exam to avoid rejection of the application form. JEE Advanced exam will be conducted in a centre-based online mode. There will be two mandatory papers, i.e., Paper-I and Paper-II, in JEE Advanced exam. JEE Advanced 2024 Overview

Before delving into the details of JEE Advanced 2024 exam analysis, let us first take a look at the overview of JEE Advanced 2024:

Candidates seeking admissions in 23 IITs to pursue UG courses such as BTech, BArch, BS, etc., will have to crack the JEE Advanced exam. The JEE Advanced 2024 exam date has been announced; based on the official schedule, the exam will be conducted on May 26, 2024. The application form for JEE Advanced 2023 will be released on April 21, 2024.

JEE Advanced 2024 All India Test Series (AITS)

Aspirants appearing for the JEE Advanced 2024 can also take the All India Test Series (AITS) furnished below to boost their overall preparation level, from getting better at improving exam-taking skills to boosting speed and accuracy. The following AITS has been designed for Paper 1 and Paper 2.

Steps to Take JEE Advanced Mock Test on Embibe

• 1st Step: First, go to Embibe’s homepage, i.e., www.embibe.com.
• 2nd Step: Click on the ‘Log in’ button, enter your Email or Mobile, and then click ‘Get OTP’.
• 3rd Step: On the next page, enter the OTP and click on ‘Proceed’.
• 4th Step: On the right-hand side, you will see a goal selected by default; click on that, choose ‘Engineering’ as your goal and then select ‘JEE Advanced.
• 5th Step: Choose your language as ‘English’ or ‘Hindi’.
• 6th Step: From there, you can choose your JEE Advanced mock test series, or you can use the direct AITS links added to the table below once you have signed in:

JEE Advanced 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check and fulfil the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2024 before filling out the JEE Advanced 2024 application form:

• Nationality: All Indian nationals (including OCI/ PIO) are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2024. Foreign candidates will be eligible under 10% of the supernumerary seat quota.
• Age Limit:  The candidates from the General and OBC categories must have been born on or after October 1, 1998. Five years relaxation in age limit is provided for SC/ST/PwD candidates; they must have been born on or after October 1, 1993.
• Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed the class 12th examination or its equivalent for the first time in the year 2023 or 2024.
• Subject: Candidate must have Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) as the mandatory subject in Class 12th.
• Minimum Percentage: The 75% criteria in class 12th/equivalent exam have been relaxed to be eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced exam.
• Number of Attempts: A candidate can take the JEE Advanced exam only two times in two consecutive years.
• JEE Main Performance: The candidates must be among the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main qualified candidates to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2024. 

The eligibility criteria above are based on the last year’s because JEE Adv. 2024 eligibility is yet to be announced.

JEE Advanced Application Form 2024

Candidates can fill out the JEE Advanced 2024 application form online on the official website, i.e. www.jeeadv.ac.in from April 21, 2024. The eligible candidates have to register and fill out the application form by entering personal, academic and other details in the required fields.  After successfully completing the registration process, the candidates will have to upload relevant documents and fill in the details asked in the online form. Thereafter, candidates are required to pay the application fee for the exam. Candidates can check the steps given below.

• Go to the official website.
• Login with JEE Main Roll Number and Password.
• On the new page, fill in your personal and academic information, exam cities, etc.
• Upload all the necessary documents.
• Proceed to pay the JEE Advanced exam registration fee.

JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2024

The exam pattern of JEE Advanced 2024 will include details such as exam mode, marking scheme, the total number of questions, type of questions, etc.

JEE Advanced 2024 Syllabus

JEE Advanced 2024 Admit Card

Candidates can download the admit card of JEE Advanced 2024 from the official website from May 17, 2024. JEE Advanced 2024 admit card includes details such as exam date, exam time, exam centre address, candidate’s name, date of birth, category, roll number, etc. 

Candidates must carry their JEE Advanced admit card to the allotted exam centre along with a Govt. approved photo ID proof. If a candidate fails to carry the admit card, then he/she will not be permitted to sit in the exam. Below mentioned are the steps to download the JEE Advanced admit card:

• Go to the JEE Advanced official website.
• Search and click on the ‘Download JEE Advanced 2024 Admit Card’ link
• Log in to the candidate portal with the registration number and password credentials.
• JEE Advanced Hall Ticket 2024 will be displayed.
• Verify all the details mentioned on the admit card.
• After checking all the details, download and take a printout for future reference.

JEE Advanced 2024 Mock Tests

The exam conducting authority releases the JEE Advanced mock test on the official website before the exam. Candidates can analyse their exam preparation and work on the weak areas. It will also help in the revision of the exam syllabus by taking the mock tests. The mock test of JEE Advanced will give a general idea of question types and difficulty level, which will eventually help in improving speed and accuracy. Candidates are advised to attempt JEE Advanced 2024 mock tests online.

JEE Advanced Answer Key 2024

The concerned authority will release the provisional answer key of JEE Advanced 2024 for both Paper 1 and 2 on the official website on June 2, 2024. A provisional answer key will be released first so that candidates can raise objections to any discrepancy found in the answer key.

After resolving all the objections, the authorities will release the final answer key along with JEE advanced result on June 9, 2024. Steps to download the JEE Advanced answer key are listed below:

• Click on the answer key link.
• JEE Advanced answer key PDF will be displayed on the screen.
• Download and compare the answer key with responses to predict the probable score.

JEE Advanced Result 2024

Candidates can check the result of JEE Advanced 2024 on the official website by entering their roll number, date of birth, and phone number. JEE Advanced 2024 result will be declared on June 9, 2024. The candidates who have qualified for the exam will receive a text message on the registered mobile number. No result/scorecard will be sent via post/email. The ranks secured by candidates in JEE Advanced 2024 will be the basis of admission to IITs.

JEE Advanced 2024 Cut Off

The cut-off of JEE Advanced 2024 is the minimum score required to qualify for the exam. After the declaration of the result, the authority will release the cut-off on the official website. The separate cut-offs will be released for different categories. The counselling process for JEE advanced 2023 will be conducted on the basis of JEE Advanced cutoff marks. JEE Advanced Counselling 2024

The candidates who qualified the JEE Advanced 2024 exam will be eligible to participate in the JEE Advanced counselling process conducted by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). To enrol for the counselling process, candidates must first complete the JoSAA registration and choose the colleges and courses per their JEE Advanced ranks. Based on the availability of seats, the counselling process will be held in several rounds. The document verification process will also be carried out during the counselling rounds.
