JoSAA is managing the joint seat allocation for all the listed institutes for the academic year 2025. There will be a total of six rounds of counselling. Admission is made on the official platform, and the process in detail is as follows:
Note: If you want to quit the counselling rounds, you can do so before the 5th round of seat allocation, and your JEE Advanced counselling fees will be returned to you. However, after the 5th round, the exit will not be allowed, and no refund will be available.
During mock seat allocation rounds, the students can understand the process. Students can modify their final choices based on the mock allocation rounds.
After you have filled in the choices, you will go through rounds for seat allocation. If you accept a seat during a particular round, you can download the provisional allotment letter from the official website and pay the seat acceptance fees.
If you are not satisfied with the allocated seats, you have 3 choices while considering choices for institutes:
During the allocation rounds, candidates will have to pay a seat acceptance fee if they want to accept a seat. This is the same as the JEE advanced counselling fees. The seat acceptance fee will be included in the semester fees after the admission has been confirmed in the preferred institute.
Category | Seat Allocation Fees |
---|---|
General | 35,000 |
SC/PwD/ST/OBC | 15,000 |
Note: The JEE advanced counselling fees must be paid using the e-challan method.
After paying the seat acceptance fees, you must visit your respective reporting centres and verify your documents. Candidates are required to carry original documents with a set of 2 photocopies. Officials working at the reporting centre will verify the documents required for JEE Advanced counselling and submit the photocopies for the process.
Following is the list of documents required for JEE Advanced counselling:
After verifying your documents, you will receive an acknowledgement letter from the reporting centre. The process has a mandatory reporting centre; if you fail to report, your application will be cancelled.
