NTA said that for Paper 1 and part ‘a’ of Paper 2, students will only have to attempt five (5) out of ten (10) questions.
4. Choice for exam cities: Aspirants will only have the option to choose their preferred exam cities based on the permanent or present address provided by them while filling out the JEE Main application form.

6. Scorecard on mobile: As per the trends seen in the past, it is expected that when the authorities declare the JEE Main results for 2022, the candidates will be notified about it on their registered mobile number or registered email address or both.

A candidate can apply for one session or more than one session (April / May 2022) together and can make the fee payment accordingly.
The application window for session 2 will be opened shortly after the result of session 1.
May session will be the last examination for the academic year 2022. Fees can be carried forward till the May 2022 session.
If the candidate does not want to appear in the session for which fees has already been paid, then NTA will refund the same. However, the candidate has to request during the application process of the session for which they want to withdraw.

No Application Correction Window?
As discussed above, NTA will not open any JEE Main application correction window this year. Therefore, all applicants must fill out their JEE April session application form cautiously because they will not be allowed to modify it later. If the NTA decides to introduce the application correction window in April or May, we will inform aspirants about the same here.
JEE Main 2022 Exam Mode
Some candidates may be confused about the exam mode of the JEE Main. Therefore, we have explained how the exam will be conducted in the later section:
1. Online Mode – Computer Based Test (CBT)
To take up CBT, candidates must sit in front of a computer terminal (node) allocated to them against their roll number and admit card. After logging in, candidates will get detailed instructions on how to go about the exam. At the appointed time of the examination, the candidates will be able to proceed and see the questions on the computer screen. During the examination, candidates can change or modify or edit answers they have already entered.
The NTA has introduced the new Drawing Test (Part-III) as part of B.Arch (Paper 2A). This part of the paper is in pen and paper (offline) mode and is to be attempted on an A4 size drawing sheet paper.
Test Practice Centres (TPCs)
The objective of TPCs is primarily to schedule test practice for the upcoming NTA JEE examination. The Ministry of Education has made it mandatory for NTA to establish and create a network of Test Practice Centres (TPCs). This is especially to encourage candidates from remote and rural areas to be familiar with the online mode of test. This is a of cost facility. This facility is implemented to acquaint the candidates with a real-time experience of taking a computer-based test. NTA registered candidates can find a nearby TPC to practice a test on the CBT.
JEE Main 2022 Exam Frequency
For the past few years, NTA has been conducting the JEE Main exam four times a year; however, as per the official bulletin, JEE Main will only be held twice this year — first in April and then in May. That means aspirants will only have two opportunities to crack the test.
As per the report, the decision to conduct JEE Main four times a year was because of the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the country, and since there has been a reduction in the cases, only two attempts shall be sufficient for aspirants to crack the test.

Why Conduct the JEE Main Twice?
Here are the benefits to why JEE Main is carried out twice a year:
Candidates get more opportunities to improve their scores in the examination if they cannot give their best on the first attempt.
Candidates gain first-hand experience of taking the examination and will know where they went wrong and where to improve to ensure they score well in their next attempt.
More attempts in a single year reduce the chances of dropping a year and help droppers move further without wasting one whole year.
In case a candidate misses the examination due to reasons beyond control (such as the Board examination), he/she will not have to wait for one whole year to attempt the next.
JEE Main 2022 has Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is conducted for B.E and B.Tech candidates, while Paper 2 is conducted for B.Arch and B.Planning candidates. Check out the details below:

Despite this, the National Testing Agency (NTA) ensures that enough testing centres are available for all the applicants appearing for the JEE Main examination.
List of JEE Main Test Centres in India
Choosing the exam centre is crucial for a candidate. While choosing, candidates need to look at the nearby and easily accessible test centres. Candidates can select any four cities as per their preference; they will have to ensure that the selected cities are in the state they are currently residing in or in the state of their permanent residence. Once they choose the right JEE test centres, it is also important that they note the city and centre codes of the test centre for future reference or verification.
Though a national level examination, JEE Main is also taken by candidates abroad. One of the main reasons for this could be that the JEE Main examination serves as a first step and gateway to get into IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology), the institutes of national importance and international repute.
