JEE Main 2023 Jan 29 first shift took place from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The exam difficulty level was reviewed to be easy-to-moderate.

JEE Main 2023 January 29, Shift 1 Analysis- Mathematics
With more emphasis on Coordinate Geometry, mathematics was challenging and time-consuming. Students felt the paper to be a little bit more difficult than the last year.

Physics questions tended to be mathematical and concept-based. In addition, a sizable number of integer-based questions with a numerical focus were included in the exam. Students felt that Class 12th was more important in Physics than Class 11th. Simple communications and electrostatics questions were being asked.

The questions in Chemistry were somewhat difficult overall and were based on NCERT. The chapters’ questions on Physical, Inorganic, and Organic Chemistry were uniform overall.
