Changes Made in JEE Main Exam Pattern

  1. The exam pattern for JEE Main Paper I will be announced shortly. The previous year’s JEE Main Paper 1 exam pattern had a total of 90 questions, 30 each from Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Candidates were required to attempt 75 questions only.
  2. Each subject is expected to have 20 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and 10 Numerical Value Questions.
  3. Out of the 10 numerical questions, only 5 must be attempted, and the rest 5 questions can be left as a choice.
  4. JEE Mains is conducting in 13 languages

Highlights of JEE Main Exam Pattern for Maths

  1. Number of Questions: Mathematics is expected to have a total of 20 MCQs and 5 numerical questions, out of which 5 are mandatory.
  2. Language: 13 languages – Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, English, and Gujarati
  3. Marking Scheme: 4 marks for each correct response.
  4. Negative Marking: 1 mark (-1) will be deducted for each incorrect response or multi-responses (only for MCQ).
  5. No marks will be awarded for unattempted questions.
  6. For Numerical value questions: 4 marks (+4) will be awarded for every correct answer, and 1 mark (-1) will be deducted for each incorrect response.
