December 3, 2024JEE Main Paper 2 Result 2023: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE Main 2023 Session 2 exam on April 6, 8, 10, 11, and 12, 2023. The JEE Main 2023 Session 1 exam has concluded, as it was held on January 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31, and February 1, 2023. NTA conducted the JEE Main 2023 Session 1 Paper 2 exam on January 28, 2023 (second shift only). The exam results for this session were declared on February 28, 2023. The JEE Main Paper 2 result 2023 includes the marks candidates secured in each subject, the overall score in the entrance exam, and the rank list based on the normalised process. JEE Main 2023 result for Paper 2 will feature the NTA score for each subject and the total marks scored by the candidate. If a candidate has attended multiple sessions of the JEE Main exam, the Paper 2 results will include the score from both attempts. However, the best score among both sessions will be considered for the admission and counselling process. The final JEE Main result will contain a percentile score, and it will be in the form of the normalised score.

Percentile refers to the rank of a candidate relative to other candidates. Percentile means the percentage of students who have scored equal to or less than (the raw scores) of a particular percentile. It means that the topper of each session will have a percentile score of 100.
JEE Main exam is conducted for several days and across multiple shifts. Accordingly, there is a possibility of variation in the difficulty level of the papers across sessions. The normalisation process is followed to convert the raw scores of the candidates into percentile scores.
JEE Main examination for both attempts will commence in multiple sessions, i.e., 4-5 days in the morning and evening shifts. The National Testing Agency normalises candidates’ scores in JEE Main paper 2. The normalised scores will be considered, and officials will prepare the rank list.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the online JEE Main counselling and seat allocation. The authorities perform two practice rounds before proceeding to the final seven rounds of counselling. Candidates who clear JEE Main paper 2 and whose names appear on the rank list will be eligible for counselling process. In counselling, candidates will fill out a choice form to pick their desired courses and institutes. Seats will be allocated based on JEE Main scores, preferences, category, and availability of seats at participating NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs.
