The Joint Seat Allocation Authority announced the JoSAA seat allotment round 4 results on October 8 at josaa.nic.in. On October 12, 2022, the round 5 seat allocation took place. The officials have released the full JoSAA 2022 counselling schedule on the official website.

The authorities will cancel the provisionally assigned seat if the candidates do not pay the seat acceptance fee by the deadline. The candidate will not get consideration for seat allocation in subsequent rounds.

JEE Main Counselling Process

1. Online Registration

You need to register to engage in the counselling process. Visit JoSAA’s official website. First, enter your password and JEE Main 2022 roll number to log in. Fill out the registration form. Once you enter all the information, click the “Confirm Registration” button.

2. Choice Filling & Locking

Pay the fee for filling out and locking the selections. You must enter and lock their selections by logging in. For seat allocation, you must select all available seats. Do not forget to lock your choices after filling out the form. The most recent stored choices will automatically be locked if you forget to lock the selections.

3. Seat Allotment

You will get seats following the filled preferences. For seat acceptance, you must bring printed copies of the “Provisional Seat Allocation Letter” and the e-challan. When accepting the seat, you must decide whether toze, slide, or float your selections for later rounds.

4. Seat Acceptance & Fee Payment

For reserved categories, the seat acceptance fee is Rs 20,000; for general candidates, it is Rs 45,000. You must pay the fee through e-challan & SBI net banking for candidates. If you pay the fee online, you must print their e-challan for future reference.

5. Reporting Centre and Verification

After paying the seat acceptance fee, You must reach the reporting centre for verification. You must bring the necessary paperwork to the centre. After document verification, the reporting centre will confirm the seat. You can reject the offers if they don’t attend the designated centre.

6. Reporting at Allotted College

Once the reporting centre confirms your seat, you must report to the designated college or institution. You must bring the required paperwork and admissions fees to the designated college.

You must report to the centre for seat acceptance, a set of original documents and self-attested photocopies for verification. You will get the original documents back after verification. The documents that you need for verification are listed below:
