JEE Main 2025 Preparation Tips

As the JEE Main January session is around the corner, aspirants must begin their last-minute preparation or revision. We have explained how aspirants can go about preparing for their exam:

  • Go through every concept and topic from your notes as fast as possible to ensure candidates understand them. In case, a certain concept or topic is unclear, refer to the textbooks.
  • Plan a realistic timetable and allocate time to each subject based on strengths and weaknesses. If candidates are weak in concepts of Maths, they must spend more time on it. Remember to make the most of the preparation time.
  • Practice and remember the formulas, equations, etc. Practice their applications as well.
  • Go through the steps to solve problems.
  • Solve questions that you think are difficult.
  • Solve as many JEE Main practice questions as possible. Remember, at the end of the day, candidates must convert their knowledge to marks, which is possible only if they master the application of knowledge, formulas, etc.
  •  Allocate separate time for revision, practice, and taking mock tests.
  • We advise that candidates should set a fixed time to answer each question. They should not waste more time on it than the fixed time and move to the next one if they cannot answer a question.

JEE Main All India Test Series (AITS): Practice Now

JEE Main is the exam requiring focused attention toward the curriculum, topics, or subjects as laid out in the JEE Main syllabus. Cracking a challenging exam like this on the first attempt is a big deal, especially when one has no idea about taking the test. And that is where JEE Main mock tests come in, helping applicants with how they need to take the test—just like they would do when they appear for the actual exam.

Embibe also provides the All India Test Series (AITS) to help students crack JEE Main 2025 with a better score. Candidates can follow the steps below to take the AIT series:

  • 1st Step: Visit Embibe’s official website, i.e., embibe.com.

Subject-Wise JEE Main Preparation Strategy

The JEE Main question paper is distributed across three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. All three subjects are similarly significant; hence, aspirants ought to guarantee that they distribute their preparation-time schedule for all three subjects. Given below are a few tips for the JEE Main 2025 subject-wise preparation.

JEE Mains 2025 Preparation Tips for Physics

Physics is a subject that many candidates fear, and most of them give up very soon on this subject. Here are some pointers to keep in mind while crafting a preparation strategy for Physics.

Physics is a scoring subject compared to the other two subjects, i.e., Chemistry and Mathematics. Knowing the difficulty level and weightage of different topics in JEE Main Physics is imperative. Check the following tables for high-weightage JEE Main topics:

JEE Main Preparation Tips for Chemistry

Chemistry is a subject that JEE candidates commonly overlook since it includes a ton of memorisation. Nonetheless, the vast majority of the ideas in Chemistry are very intuitive and logical. Chemistry has been the saviour for students in the JEE Mains examination. The Chemistry section of the JEE Main exam is the easiest of all three sections in the paper.

Students can easily score in this section by studying the important topics for JEE Mains Chemistry. Questions in Chemistry require a balance of analytical and memorisation skills.

For instance, questions in Physical Chemistry are purely analytical, and Inorganic Chemistry requires memorisation, while Organic Chemistry has questions that often form a balance between the two. Find below the chapter-wise weightage of JEE Main Chemistry chapters.
