NCERT textbook solutions answer all the intext questions asked in exercises at the end of each chapter. Students should practice these questions as it helps them to understand how to write proper answers and further strengthen their base in the chapter topics. For school exams, the school-prescribed books are sufficient for scoring excellent marks. Students need not refer to additional material or study topics outside their syllabus. Thus, focusing on NCERT textbooks and solutions must ensure the desired result. Also, answering these questions acts as a revision, and the practice prevents the need to do rote memorisation.

Solving the sample papers for the Jammu and Kashmir Board classes is an effective way to enhance command over the concepts. Sample papers help students get acquainted with the type of questions that can be asked about a particular topic. Thus, it expands their area of knowledge and prepares them to answer any question in the final examination. Students who practice the JKBOSE sample papers have an advantage over those who do not. They are better prepared mentally to answer difficult or tricky questions, and the practice helps them easily remember formulas, laws, definitions, key points and other important factors. Students in J&K Board classes 10 and 12 must practice the sample papers to prepare for the board exam.
Apart from practising JK Board sample papers, students should also take mock tests for all subjects. Mock tests provide the simulated experience of the actual exam. Embibe mock tests provide detailed feedback on the test submitted, highlighting the students’ strong and weak areas and topics where they need to improve their understanding. Students can also create their own mock tests based on a topic, chapter, subject, exam duration, difficulty level of exams, etc. Attempting mock tests also help students to learn time management and answer all the necessary questions, review their answers and even attempt extra questions.
While doing self-study, students should prepare notes by highlighting each topic’s important points. It is important to mention the key factors of a topic to fetch maximum marks in the exam. When the final exam arrives, students shall not have the time to study the entire textbook for each subject. Thus, revision notes are the best way to study effectively. We have provided JK Board and revision notes to help students prepare for the exam. Refer to the table below for the same:

The best method to win over a challenge is to know it thoroughly. Students in JKBOSE Board classes 10 and 12 must solve the previous years’ question papers for all the subjects. They will get to practice a wider range of questions and know the topics on which questions are asked most commonly.
In Jammu and Kashmir Board secondary classes, practical exams hold a certain portion of the total marks for the final exam. The JKBOSE practical exams are conducted nearly one month before the theory exam is conducted. Students must pass the practical exam. It is also a good opportunity for students to improve their aggregate marks in a subject. Practical exams are not conducted for all the subjects. They are conducted only in Science subjects. The marks obtained in the practical exam are added to the marks scored in the final examination. Students should go through their syllabus to know the list of practicals. They should understand the practical tests done at the school level to perform them well for the final exam.
JKBISE compartmental or supplementary exams are the supplementary exams that students fail the regular exam. JK Board compartment exams are held only for board classes 10 and 12 exams. Students who fail in one or more subjects in Jammu and Kashmir Board Class 10 and Class 12 regular board exams can reappear for the compartmental exam to be able to get admission to a higher relevant education stage. Students unsatisfied with their results can also appear for the compartment exam. To appear for the JKBOSE compartment examination, students have to first register for it. The registration process is completed through the respective school administration. The exam is usually held a month after the announcement of the regular exam result. If students fail in the compartmental exams, too, they are required to sit for regular exams in the next academic session.
Students need to learn and understand the chapter concepts thoroughly to perform well in the final exam. To help students grasp the topics quickly and efficiently, Embibe provides 3D interactive videos that explain all the syllabus chapters. Thus, students can understand the chapters better.
