1st Step: Counselling Registration

The first step for counselling is to register for JKCET counselling. To register for the JKCET Counselling, candidates need to enter the such as:

• Email ID
• Mobile number

After entering these details, a password will be generated, and candidates need to preserve this for future purposes.

2nd Step: Choice Filling

Candidates must fill in the choices of colleges and courses according to their preferences. The candidate for the seat allotment should fill in the choices. The choice filling is nothing but providing candidates with preferred colleges and courses as per a priority. JKBOPEE will also have a mock choice filling before the actual choice filling. It will help candidates become aware of the choice-filling process.

3rd Step: Pay Counselling Fee

After filling out the choices, candidates need to pay the counselling fees of Rs. 1200 through online mode (credit/debit card or net banking)

4th Step: Locking of the Filled Choice

Once the counselling fee is successfully paid, the candidates’ choices can be locked and will be considered the final round 1 allotment.

5th Step: Seat Allotment

JKBOPEE will allot the seats based on various factors such as rank, preference made by the candidate, seat availability, category, etc. Depending on these factors, the candidates will be allotted a suitable seat. Also, if no seat is allocated, the candidate has to try again in the next round of seat allotment.

The following candidates will be eligible for 1st round of JKCET counselling:

• Candidates who do not get seat allotment despite participation in the first round.
• Those candidates who did not participate in round 1 or, for some reason, failed to pay the counselling fees.
• Candidates who did not join the college after the round 1 allocation.
