JKCET Exam 2025 Centres –  Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test, better known as JKCET, is a state-level exam. The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE) will conduct the JKCET 2025 exam in June 2025, (tentatively) this year, across 21 JKCET exam centres. The exam is a front door for candidates to get admission to several undergraduate engineering courses in government and private colleges of Jammu and Kashmir.

JKCET 2025 Exam Pattern

We expect the JKCET 2025 exam pattern to remain the same as the previous year. JKCET 2025 will consist of a single paper of three sections with 180 questions in total with a time duration of 3 hours. These questions will be multiple choice objective types (MCQs) carrying one mark (+1) each. There will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

JKCET 2025 Selection Process

JKCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

If you aspire to appear in the JKCET 2025, you might wonder if you’re eligible for the entrance exam or what qualifications you need to apply for the JKCET 2025 examination. 

In a nutshell, an applicant has to satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

1. Candidates should have a domicile certificate of UT (union territory) of Jammu & Kashmir issued by the competent authority or an ST certificate issued by the competent authority of UT of Ladakh be treated as Domicile certificate of UT of Ladakh.
2. Applicants must have passed Higher Secondary (12th) or equivalent examination from any registered board or university.
3. Candidates must have qualified 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics as primary subjects for admission to B.E/B.Tech. Engineering Courses.
4. Candidates appearing in the 12th examination or awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the entrance examination, given such candidates have qualified for their 12th examination at the time of declaration of the JKCET result.
5. Applicants must have achieved at least 50% of the marks in their qualification examinations.
6. The candidates applying for the JKCET exam should be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of that year. There is no upper age limit for both Government and Private Colleges.
7. Applicants who apply under the TFW category are open merit applicants. Hence, they must fulfil the eligibility requirements for open merit applicants.

Note: The candidates belonging to the reserved category must have achieved at least 40% of the marks in their qualification examinations.

JKCET Exam Centres

The JKCET examination will take place in the JKCET exam centres: 15 centres in Srinagar and 6 centres in Jammu. All the candidates will get the choice to select their JKCET exam centres while filling out their JKCET application form.

Candidates must note that once the JKCET exam centres are allotted, they will not get any option to change their JKCET exam centres. All the details about the exam centre will be available on the applicant’s JKCET admit card.

Note: Candidate must remember to carry the following mandatory documents to the JKCET Exam Centres for appearing in the exam

• JKCET Admit Card
• Government ID Proof, i.e. Aadhar card, etc.
• Recent passport size photo

JKCET 2025 Application Form

Candidates can fill out the JKCET application form via online mode only on the official website of the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE). All candidates must upload scanned copies of their photos, signature and other mandatory documents.

How To Fill JKCET Application Form 2025?

Step 2: Make fee payment of JKCET application form 2025 

After filling out the JKCET application form, we advise the candidates to review all the details carefully and then proceed towards making the application fee payment. 

All candidates will have to make a payment of INR 1200 as an application fee which they can pay through Credit Card, Debit Card, and Net Banking as per their convenience. Candidates must note that there will be no relaxation of the reserved category on the application fee.

A1: No, the JKCET 2025 application forms are not out yet. However, the concerned authority has released the tentative schedule. As per the tentative schedule, the JKCET application form submission will start on March 2025.
