To pass Class 10, pupils must take the board examination conducted by the Kerala Board of Public Examination. Apart from this board exam, several additional national and worldwide competitive exams are held. Exams like these help students find their areas of interest, abilities, knowledge, and potential. Please note that the medium of examination is English except for National Talent Search Examination (NTSE). NTSE is conducted in English as well as in Hindi medium.

• National Talent Search Examination (NTSE): It is a prominent competitive national level exam with a scholarship programme. Students are assessed based on their understanding and knowledge of Science, Maths, Social Science, Mental Ability and General Knowledge. Students who qualify are awarded the scholarship for the next academic year and cash prizes.
• National Level Science Talent Search Exam (NLSTSE): The questions asked in the exam are based on Physics, Maths, Biology Chemistry and other General Awareness subjects.
• Indian National Olympiad (INO): Students are evaluated based on their knowledge and understanding of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy and Junior Science. The exam comprises a five-stage procedure. The first stage is a written exam conducted by NSE (National Standard Examination).
• GeoGenius: This exam aims to create an interest in Geography. In this exam, students are asked to mark the various locations of India on a blank map.
• National Interactive Maths Olympiad (NIMO): This exam assesses the students' mental ability and mathematical skills. It also aims to reduce the fear of mathematics amongst the students. 
• Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT): For pupils interested in knowing where they rank in a foreign college's rankings, this is an obvious competitive exam to take after tenth grade. However, an increasing number of Indian institutions are accepting SAT scores instead of their own entrance exams.
