There are 3 streams in the KVPY exam, namely SA, SB, and SX streams. The question paper for each of these three streams has 2 parts. In Part I, 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. In Part II, for each correct response, two marks will be awarded and 0.5 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
Important topics from 11th-grade subjects involving physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics are included in the KVPY SA syllabus 2022. To get the best results, finish the KVPY syllabus as soon as possible. NCERT books are the finest source for a wide range of questions to answer as well as the whole KVPY exam syllabus.
In this section, there will be 80 questions divided into two different parts: part 1 and part 2.
1. Part 1 will have 60 questions for 1 mark each. For each wrong response, a 0.25 score deduction will be applied.
2. Part 2 will have 20 questions at 2 marks each. For each wrong response, a 0.5 mark deduction will be applied.

The Department of Science and Technology (DST) established KVPY, which is overseen by the Indian Institute of Science. This program’s major purpose is to identify student brilliance and encourage them to seek professions in science. Contingency funds and significant scholarships are awarded to selected KVPY Fellows up to the pre-Ph.D level or for a five-year term. Summer camps for students at the country’s most famous and educational establishments are also a priority for KVPY.
The toppers have shared the topics that must be covered when preparing for KVPY, which are listed below:
Because this is an 11th-grade test, the questions in this stream are at the 10th-grade level. These questions from these themes, according to the toppers, are achievable. The majority of the questions concern Geometry, Algebra, and Number Theory.
The majority of questions in Physics come from 12th-grade Optics, Electricity, and Magnetism. In Physics, students are asked questions from both the 10th and 12th grades. For the preparation of this stream Physics topic, one can use NCERT books or H.C Verma. As a result, use texts from both the 10th and 12th grades to prepare.
The questions in the SX stream are tailored to the JEE Advance difficulty level. Limits, functions, and calculus are some of the topics that are frequently addressed in the SX stream of mathematics. It is sufficient to prepare for KVPY if one is preparing for JEE Advanced.
Chemistry questions are often conceptual and memory-based. As a result, it is important to begin the test with Chemistry questions. According to the best scorers, chemistry and biology questions should be attempted first, followed by Mathematics and Physics questions.
