As prescribed by CBSE, the following activities are to be completed as a part of Lab Manual Class 10 Maths syllabus. You must complete these assessments and evaluations in order to obtain good marks in the exam, since they constitute 20% of the overall marking system.

  1. Finding the HCF of two numbers practically on the basis of Euclid’s Division Lemma.
  2. Drawing the graph of a quadratic polynomial and finding out its shape as well as the coefficient of x2.
  3. Verifying the conditions of consistency/inconsistency for different pairs of linear equations in two variables using the graphical method.
  4. Obtaining the solution of the corresponding quadratic equation (x2 + 4x = 60) by completing the square geometrically.
  5. Identifying the Arithmetic Progressions using some patterns/numbers.
  6. Finding the sum of first n natural numbers.
  7. Experimentally finding the sum of first ‘n’ odd natural numbers.
  8. Experimentally finding the sum of first ‘n’ even natural numbers.
  9. Establishing the formula for the addition of first ‘n’ terms of an Arithmetic Progression.
  10. Verifying the distance formula using the graphical method.

In Class 10, the Math theory exam carries 80 marks, while the internal assessment carries 20 marks

(c) Project carries 5 marks in total.
(d) A total score of 20 is calculated from the marks obtained in the year-end assessment of activities, project work, and Viva-Voce marks.
