LIC AAO job is mostly administrative and has extra responsibilities that vary depending on the department in which the candidate works. The following are the key responsibilities of a LIC AAO:

• LIC AAO must assist the Administrative Officer or Department Head in overseeing the department’s overall operation.
• As policy inspectors and analysts, AAOs are in charge of checking and assessing present policies. 
• The officer is in charge of developing new programmes and policies.
• They must deal with policy applications.
• AAOs must contribute to database creation and maintenance.
• Interacting with potential consumers, salespeople, and vendors, among other things.
• AAO is also in charge of claim processing, including filing and managing claims that come his way.
• Interacting with clients and resolving their issues is also the responsibility of an assistant administrative officer.
• Coordinating work and communicating with people from diverse divisions.
• Executing other duties as assigned by the officer-in-charge from time to time.

Only a citizen of India is eligible to apply for LIC AAO 2025 test. 

Age Criteria

The candidate’s age must be between 21 and 30 years old. There is also a provision for age relaxation for some categories, in addition to the age limit criterion. The age relaxation criteria are listed below:

Education Qualification

For AAO (Chartered Accountant): Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised Indian University/institution, pass the Institute of Chartered Accountant’s Final Examination, and complete the Articles required by the Institute of Chartered Accountant. The aspirant must be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India as an Associate Member. Candidates must provide their membership number, which the Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants will confirm.

For AAO (Actuarial): Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised Indian university/institution and must have passed at least six papers of the Institute of Actuaries of India/Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK examination. The aspirant must furnish their membership number, validated with the Institute of Actuaries of India/Institute and the Faculty of Actuaries of the United Kingdom.

For AAO (IT): Candidates for this position must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics) or an MCA or MSC (Computer Science) from a recognised Indian university or institution.

For AAO (Legal): Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in law or a Master’s Degree in law from a recognised Indian university or institution. Three years of bartending experience is required.

For AAO (Rajbhasha): Candidates may possess any of the credentials listed below:

• Postgraduate Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at the Bachelor’s degree level, or 
• Postgraduate Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s degree level, or Postgraduate Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s degree level, or 
• Postgraduate Master’s Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at Bachelor’s degree level.

Number of Attempts

In LIC AAO Prelims Recruitment Notification, there is no mention of a candidate’s number of attempts. However, candidates are eligible to apply as long as they meet the eligibility requirements. 

Language Proficiency

The written test will be conducted in English and Hindi. Therefore, proficiency in both these languages is required.

• 3rd Step: You will be redirected to a new page. Select ‘Assistant Engineers/ AA/ AAO (Specialist)’ from the drop-down menu.
• 4th Step: Next, you will be redirected to a new page. To apply online, go to the ‘Apply Online’ link.
• 5th Step: Select ‘Click here for New Registration’ from the drop-down menu.
• 6th Step: Fill in your name, date of birth, phone number, email address, and other basic information. Please send the information. Then a registration number will be produced.
• 7th Step: Login with the login credentials you get after completing the registration process.
• 8th Step: Complete the application form by providing personal and educational, contact, and other pertinent information.
• 9th Step: Upload your photo and signature in the appropriate formats.

The LIC AAO preliminary examination will be conducted online, consisting of an objective test. The test will be divided into three portions (each with a separate set of timings). The Prelims exam pattern is given below:

The following is the LIC AAO Prelims exam marking scheme:

• The LIC AAO Prelims exam will be a 100-mark objective test with 100 multiple-choice questions.
• For every correct answer, one mark will be given.
• 0.25 points will be deducted from the overall score for each wrong answer.
• Each of the three sections is timed separately. Each section of the Prelims exam has a time limit of 20 minutes.
• The test will take one hour to complete in total.
• Each question is a multiple-choice option (Objective Type).
• Both English and Hindi versions of the question paper will be available (except for English Language Test).

To pass the exam and get the job, candidates have to score and achieve more than the cut-off marks at every stage. For this reason, they must prepare effectively for the LIC AAO exam. They must have a definite study plan and smart road map to succeed in the exam. Given below are a few tips for preparing for the LIC AAO examination: 

English Language: While preparing for English section, examine and revise questions from the Cloze Test, Reading Comprehension, Fillers, Error Spotting & Phrase Replacement, and vocabulary sections. Reasoning Ability: To achieve the minimum qualifying marks in the Reasoning section, you must focus on areas such as Coding-Decoding, Syllogism, Inequality, Seating Arrangements, Logical Reasoning, and Blood Relations. If you have difficulty solving a question in the puzzle, we recommend moving on to the next question to save time.

Quantitative Ability: Solve questions daily to tackle the Number Series. This will assist you in swiftly analysing patterns and answering the questions. To gain a firm grasp on questions based on simplification, extensively review the LIC AAO previous year papers for specific questions. You should have at least 200-250 questions on approximation and BODMAS practice when you appear for the LIC AAO Prelims exam.

Interpretation of Data: As expert advice for LIC AAO preparation, candidates must practise 5 sets each of Tabulation, Pie Chart, Line Graph, Bar Graph, and Miscellaneous DI questions incorporating word problems. The Number Series, D.I., Approximation, and Arithmetic Word Problems are some of the most important areas to focus on (Profit and Loss, Problems on Age, Probability, SI and CI, etc.).

General Awareness: The General Awareness part should be given special attention for two reasons: it saves time and is a high-scoring section. Make it a habit to keep up with factual CA for over a year by reading NCERT books and prominent publications such as The Hindu, The Economic Times, Dainik Bhaskar, and others. Revise the GK and Current Affairs sections using daily notes, which should focus on national issues such as insurance, banking, and other recent news flashes in the six months leading up to the exam.

The admit card for LIC AAO Prelims 2025 will be available probably two weeks before the exam date. Candidates who successfully registered for the exam can only be issued an admit card. They require the Registration Number and Password to download LIC AAO Admit Card 2025. Follow the below-mentioned steps to download the admit card:
