Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) is an autonomous board that conducts the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examinations in the state of Meghalaya. The board was established in 1973 with the aim of providing quality education to the students of Meghalaya. MBOSE is responsible for conducting examinations, prescribing syllabus, and preparing textbooks for both SSLC and HSSLC.

The SSLC examination is conducted for students who have completed their class 10th studies, whereas the HSSLC examination is conducted for students who have completed their 12th studies.
