The Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) is a self-governing organisation established to raise the standard of education in the Mizoram state. The Mizoram State Board has delegated supervision and regulation of education to the MBSE. The MBSE Chairman performs the tasks and obligations. The Mizoram Government founded MBSE in 1975 in accordance with the MBSE Act, and it has been in operation since 2 December 1976. Its main office is in Aizwal, Mizoram. It also holds tests at the state level for senior secondary (SSC) and higher secondary schools (HSC).
