The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is a national exam conducted by the Council of Architecture to provide admission to undergraduate architecture programmes. The authorities conduct the examination thrice a year in online mode. Phase 1, 2, and 3 exams for the 2023 session are already over; candidates can expect the Phase 3 result to be declared on July 17, 2023.

Exam Summary
The Council of Architecture (CoA) conducts the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), which is a national-level exam for admission to undergraduate architecture programmes. The exam is conducted thrice a year online. The first exam session occurred on April 21, 2023, with the second and third sessions carried out on June 3, 2023 and July 9, 2023, respectively.

NATA Eligibility Criteria 2024

NATA Age Criteria 2024
There are no age barriers for candidates participating in NATA 2024. However, candidates must adhere to any age restrictions the counselling/ admission authority imposes.
NATA Education Qualification 2024
- Candidates must have cleared the 10+2 level examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Candidates who have cleared any 10+3 diploma exam with Mathematics as a subject of the exam are also eligible to apply.

To register for NATA 2024, candidates must click the NATA 2024 – Registration tab on the official website. Following that, candidates must first create a login ID and password. To create login credentials, candidates must provide the below-mentioned details:
- Candidate’s name
- Candidate’s gender
- Date of birth
- Mobile number
- Email id
- Unique password
- Security question
Once the above details are submitted, candidates will receive an email on their registered ID providing the application number and password.
The authorities will likely release the application form in March 2024. Submitting the application form is mandatory as it confirms a candidate’s appearance for the exam. Also, the NATA admit card is released based on the information provided in the application form.

NATA Exam Guidelines: Do’s and Don’ts
The following is the list of dos and don’ts candidates must follow during the exam:
Dos
- Reach the examination hall on time.
- Stick to the timetable outlined in the booklet and on the Admit Card.
- Candidates should only carry their admit card and ID proof like Aadhar/ Passport/ Driving Licence/ Voter ID to the exam centre.
- Maintain silence during the examination.
Don’ts
- Do not bring textual material, printed or written, bits of paper or any other material.
- Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, calculators, slide rules, log tables, and electronic watches with calculator capabilities are strictly prohibited. Possessing such materials during the examinations may result in the cancellation of the candidature.
- Do not leave the examination hall without the permission of the invigilator.

The authorities will likely release the session 1 admit card in April 2024, followed by sessions 2 and 3. The admit card for session 2 will be released in May 2024, and session 3 in July 2024. Admit card is one of the most crucial documents for candidates appearing for NATA 2024. If candidates fail to carry their admit card to the exam centre, they will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

NATA Exam Centres 2024.
NATA 2023 Phase 3 results will be available on the official website. Candidates can access the NATA results by following the processes below:
- Step 1: First, NATA’s official website is to be visited.
- Step 2: Click on the NATA 2023 result link.
- Step 3: Fill in the roll number and date of birth.
- Step 4: The result will reflect on the screen.
- Step 5: Candidates’ scores will be displayed on a scorecard, along with whether or not they have qualified.

The NATA cut-off 2023 is the minimum qualifying mark candidates must achieve to get admission to the NATA colleges of their choice. Candidates must obtain a minimum score of 70 out of 200 to pass the exam, with a score of 120-150 being deemed satisfactory. Candidates who meet the cut-off will be eligible for NATA 2023 Counselling, allowing them to apply to architectural schools in India.

The authorities will publish the NATA merit list to aid in counselling. If any two candidates secure the same marks, the authorities will bring the tie-breaking criteria into the process to break the tie. After the release of the NATA merit list, the counselling process will take place.

The Council of Architecture will not be the conducting authority for NATA Counselling. The participating universities will conduct the counselling. Candidates who clear the exam will be eligible to participate in NATA 2023 counselling.
