- To avoid blunders, practise tests on two topics per day and revise on weekends.
- To have a better picture of the questions and difficulty level of the paper, practise prior year’s papers.
- Improve your ability to reason logically.
- From time to time, try to solve puzzles and riddles.
NTSE Preparation Tips: Science
The science component of the NTSE Exam consists of 40 one-point questions. The Science component of the NTSE syllabus includes questions from Science Class 10th and Class 9th courses. NCERT Science Books are used to answer the majority of the questions. The following are some Science preparation tips:
- Pay attention in class because the questions in the paper will only come from the fundamentals.
- After class, go through each topic again.
- Make brief notes on each topic and make a list of essential points discussed in class.
- Every day, review all of the chemical equations and formulae.
- Practice physics numerical problems and biology diagrams.
NTSE Preparation Tips: Mathematics
The Mathematics component of the NTSE paper consists of 20 questions, each of which is worth one mark.
- Try to complete this section in less than 24 minutes, which means you should spend no more than 1.2 minutes on each question. This will give you an extra 4 minutes to double-check your answers.
- To ace the computations, solve as many prior years’ exam papers as you can.
- Make a formula sheet and carry it with you at all times for quick revisions.
- Each and every formula should be memorised. All of the trigonometric formulas should be memorised.
- Also, try to answer a few other questions.

- With the use of maps and illustrations, they can prepare Geography.
- Candidates must have a thorough awareness of Indian politics and must read newspapers on a daily basis to keep up with current events.
Exam Taking Strategy
Before beginning NTSE Stage-I preparation, students must thoroughly understand the exam pattern as explained by the conducting body. Following that, they should sit down and create a systematic plan for exam preparation. Here are some useful NTSE exam-taking strategies:
1. Comprehend the Syllabus: Knowledge of the NTSE syllabus and exam pattern is beneficial at every stage, from developing an effective study plan to developing strategies to perform well in the examination hall. Before making your schedule, you should review the exam syllabus.
2. Syllabus for the NTSE 2025: The NTSE 2025 syllabus will be based on the NCERT 10th curriculum. Students can cover the majority of the syllabus by reading the NCERT books. They can use online learning resources such as live online classes and recorded video lectures for topics they find difficult to understand.
NTSE question papers cover topics from Mathematics, Science, Social Science, English, General Knowledge, and Mental Ability.
3. Examine the NTSE exam pattern: The NTSE is a state-level exam with two sections:
- Mental Ability Test (MAT)
- Scholastic Ability Test (SAT)
The paper that was administered offline consisted of objective type multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each correct answer is worth one mark. Students from the general category must score 40% of the available marks to pass the exam, while students from the reserved categories must receive only 32% of the available marks.
4. Recognise your Strengths and Weaknesses: Knowing your strengths and weaknesses allows you to concentrate on the things that matter. If you are aware of your flaws, you can seek solutions. For example, if you don’t understand a topic from books, you can supplement your preparation by watching videos.
5. Study at Home: Now that NTSE exam is only a few days away, you can’t afford to squander time on the daily commute. Now is the time to consider self-study or online exam preparation.
6. Take NTSE Practice Tests: Taking as many mock tests, practise tests, and previous year papers as possible is one of the best ways to check your progress and your level in comparison to other students. It will also assist you in analysing your performance and looking for ways to improve to achieve a high score on the final exam.
7. Revise Regularly: The key to success is revision. You should revise your syllabus regularly and solve sample papers to determine how much you know.
8. Work on NTSE Previous Year’s Papers: This will assist you in comprehending the exam pattern and types of questions asked. Based on this, you can devise techniques and strategies to attempt as many questions as possible in the time allotted to complete the test.
9. Look After your Health: Having less time for NTSE 2025 preparation does not imply that you will neglect your health. Even if you have to study for a few extra hours, you must eat healthy foods and get enough sleep. What you eat and how much sleep you get directly impact how well you perform on the final exam. As a result, when preparing for the NTSE, pay equal attention to your health.
Detailed Study plan
Every exam necessitates a certain strategy and commitment throughout the preparation process. In order to ace a test, candidates must develop a proper and well-structured preparation approach that includes proper analytical, time management, and exam-taking abilities. The following are some key ideas and suggestions for preparing for the NTSE exam.
- Before you start studying, make sure you have all of the necessary information on the scholarship test’s NTSE syllabus. Before commencing the preparation process, students must thoroughly review the NTSE syllabus. Candidates are encouraged to check the NTSE paper’s official website on a regular basis and obtain the entire syllabus. Students can discover thorough information about the mark-by-mark and section-by-section distribution of the topic there. Candidates should keep a copy of the syllabus with them during their preparation to ensure that nothing is forgotten, that no topic is left unprepared, and that they do not miss any important topics before the exam.
- To understand the types of problems asked in the NTSE scholarship test, students should download and solve past years’ question papers. Solving previous year’s papers will also assist pupils in determining the paper’s difficulty level. Solving previous year’s papers will also put a student in a better position to take the NTSE exam. Candidates are encouraged to take the previous year’s exams as a practise test to get a better sense of what to expect on exam day. They must use the answer keys to evaluate their responses.
- Candidates are encouraged to take the required number of mock examinations on a regular basis. Solving mock tests allows students to get a realistic picture of their NTSE preparation and to see where they are. Candidates must make it a habit to take at least one practise test on a regular basis. These practise examinations are meant to be a little tougher than the real thing. Apart from that, it assists applicants in estimating the level of difficulty and time management of the paper.
- Creating a strategy and a routine, and sticking to it, can help you pass the exam quickly and effortlessly. Students must practise issues on a regular and rigorous basis in order to excel on the exam. Candidates are urged to develop an appropriate strategy and preparation plan based on the paper’s themes and mark distribution. This technique will assist applicants in effectively managing their time and completing the paper with flying colours.
