Artificer Apprentice (AA) | An Artificer sailor’s major responsibilities include: – Working on steam-powered machinery, diesel and gas turbines, guided missiles, and other automatically controlled weapons, sensors avionic equipment, computers, highly advanced radio, and electrical power systems. – Maintaining complex systems and sophisticated equipment. – Management of men in addition to the technical challenges of operation. |
Here is the difference between Indian Navy AA & SSR in terms of the eligibility criteria:
Indian Navy Sailor (AA): Candidates who want to apply for Navy Sailor (Artificer Apprentice) posts must have age between 17 to 20 years.
Indian Navy Sailor (SSR): Aspirants who wish to apply for Navy Sailor (Senior Secondary Recruit) posts must be between 17 to 21 years of age.
Indian Navy Sailor (AA): Candidates must have completed the Class 12 exam with 55% or more marks in total with Maths and Physics or at least one of these subjects (Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science) from a recognised Board of School Education.
Indian Navy Sailor (SSR): Aspirants must have completed the Class 12 exam with Maths and Physics or at least one of these subjects (Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science) from a recognised Board of School Education.
