Differential Equations NCERT Solutions Exercise 9.1 Class 12 Maths – PDF

Differential equations Class 12 NCERT solutions is very important for the students to be thorough with. Ex 9.1 Class 12 deals with the topics, introduction to differential equation, basic concepts of differential equation, order of a differential equation, and degree of a differential equation.

Example Questions with Solutions of Differential Equations

Students can refer to the questions given below as examples and refer to the solutions. These are the type of questions asked from the chapter.

1. Determine order and degree (if defined) of differential equation ? 4? /?? 4 + sin(? ′′′) = 0

Solution: Differential equation given is ? 4? /?? 4 + sin(? ′′′) = 0
We see that the highest order derivative present in the differential equation is 4. Therefore, its order is four. The given differential equation is not a polynomial equation in its derivatives. Hence, its degree is not defined.

2. Determine order and degree (if defined) of differential equation ? ′ + 5? = 0

Solution: The differential equation given is ? ′ + 5? = 0. The highest order derivative present in the differential equation is ?′. Therefore, its order is one. It is a polynomial equation in its derivatives and the highest power raised to ?′ is 1. Its degree is one.

Differential Equations Class 12 NCERT Solutions: Chapter Overview

Before students go to check the Ex 9.1 Class 12, it is very important to have a clear idea about what is differential equations and its uses. We have provided the description of the Chapter Differential equation which every student must know in the following passages.

Differential equation is an equation that depends upon the derivatives of dependent variable in accordance with independent variable. It can be related to one or numerous function and their derivatives. There are ordinary and partial derivatives. Here are a few fields where differential equations are used:

  • Engineering
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Anthropology
  • Geology
  • Economic

A few types of Differential Equations discussed in the chapter are:

  • Ordinary Differential Equation
  • Partial Differential Equation
  • Linear Differential Equation

Benefits of Solving NCERT Questions and Finding Solutions

There are numerous advantages of NCERT in-text questions and solving them. Here are a few reasons on why a student should be thorough with the NCERT questions and their solutions.

  • In-depth knowledge on the concepts: NCERT books are the main source of information for most of the students those who are practicing for any board or competitive exams! This is because the most challenging topics are explained in the most comprehensive manner in the NCERT textbooks. An in-depth knowledge is provided topic-wise. By solving the NCERT questions, students get a clear idea on the subject. When it comes to Maths, clarity is very important and solving the in-text solutions will give the students the necessary clarity of concepts. Students should do extensive practice sessions to be better at Maths.
  • Important questions under CBSE curriculum: The CBSE board conducts the Class 12 board exam every year and students often find them challenging. This is due to the increasing standard of questions. When a student solves the NCERT solutions and practices them regularly, the board exams can be tackled easily. Most of the questions asked in the Class 12 Maths board exam are based on the NCERT in-text questions.
  • Better marks with topic-wise clarity: NCERT in-text questions will lead a student to score the best marks. Even if they do not have time to practice the extra questions from the syllabus, solving NCERT questions are more than enough to score good marks for exam. There are exercises that covers each topic and hence students will get the topic-wise clarity.
  • Best way to prepare for competitive exams: If the students are aiming for cracking the competitive exams then NCERT books are the best way of preparation. NCERT books can lay a strong foundation with respect to topics of any subject. Henceforth, students can understand advance topics with ease in future.
